This is regular council meeting on here, but uh Wednesday, June twenty-fifth, and we're going to call the meeting to order and ask Clementine to do roll call and share announcements with the public. Councilmember Barber. Yeah. Councilmember Rash here. Mayor Williamson. Here. And the record will reflect that Councilmembers Garcia and Smith are absent. And public comment and participation information is provided on this meeting's agenda, which is online at Monterey.gov slash agendas. In-person attendees are not present. Um thank you for participating in your city government. Awesome. Thank you. With that, we'll go to the pledge. We just asked Dr. Barber to kick us off here. Oh no, nope, sorry. That's just a joke. Um, that's not a joke. It's that not what we're doing. We're gonna take item number one, which is open a public hearing to confirm Elvarado Street Maintenance District eighty-five dash one area and receive protests related to the collection of the assessment, proposed an engineers report for fiscal year twenty-five twenty-six and authorize the assessment if a majority protest does not exist. With that, I asked the the public works director to give a brief report uh uh I'm sorry, with with other engineering assistant Cody Hennings to give us a brief report. Uh good evening, Mr. Mayor and Council. Um so uh the first item on the agenda tonight is to uh hold a public hearing to count uh unseal and count the ballots for our proposed assessment of the financial year twenty five twenty six Alvarado Street maintenance district. Um the Alvarado Street maintenance district was established in nineteen eighty-five, and uh the maintenance district provides additional maintenance services that are by above and beyond the general services that the city provides. Um this year's rates based on the property owner's desired level of service uh is four dollars sixty-five cents per linear foot of frontage per month. And with that we could move on. Um council for questions. Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and call for public comments. Um we're gonna check for folks on Zoom. You can use the raise hand function.
