Public Comments & Testimony
- A speaker representing a veterans' organization expressed support for the "Take Care of Americans Veterans Act" and opposition to Section 108, urging the council to protect veteran benefits. He also invited the community to Friday dinners at the post.
- Andrew John Stan (1251 Illusion Lane) commented on the Gregory Ferry workforce housing income cap, advocating for raising the limit to 120% of Area Median Income (AMI) to enable more first-time homebuyers and workers like teachers and firefighters to qualify. He noted that 80% AMI is too restrictive given current interest rates.
- Demetrius Hullen (1815 Shore Mead Road) expressed support for the police department's efforts against street takeovers, citing concerns that such activity could escalate as seen in Minneapolis, and urged the council to remain vigilant.
