The Nampa City Council met on June 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The meeting included public forums, a presentation from Valley Regional Transit on service changes, staff updates, two public hearings, and numerous action items. Key decisions included approval of a 355-unit subdivision with commercial use restrictions, removal of a comprehensive plan density requirement, and authorization of a drone first-responder program.
All right. Here we go. Thanks again for being here. And it's an honor and uh have these good people beside me, especially this lady here that'll keep me hopefully on in tack on task and not making too many mistakes. But uh again, I'm honored to have you all here and uh and for this council and for this meeting. We're gonna start uh as we always do with a word of prayer and then the pledge and stake president uh Mr. Wusterhume. If I pronounce that even close, okay. So we're gonna stand and we'll have the prayer and the pledge, please. Our Father who art in heaven, we love thee so much. We come before thee at the beginning of this meeting, recognizing thee, that thou art almighty. We're grateful to thee, especially for thy love to us first and foremost through Jesus Christ, that we would have one who is the way, is the truth, is the life. So grateful to live in this country, this state, and in a city like ours, that the praise thee. So we we take many things for granted. We are so grateful to thee. We can worship how we may, and to have moral agency, and to have respect and regard one to another. We thank thee for these things and recognize that we fall short to ask thee, Father. We ask thee for thy help, especially those who lead in our community, first and foremost, moms and dads. We pray the parents and the families in this community, especially those who are raising children and youth, this rising generation that we have great responsibility for. We pray, Father, that thou would ever bless us to have them on our minds and on our hearts. And as a community, Father, we pray that we would we would be together, that we would stand together, that we would work together, especially supporting those we've elected, and the the great work that they do. We pray for them tonight, uh, specifically our mayor. We pray for him, our council members. Tonight will be a productive night. Altruism will prevail. We will be further unified as a city and as a people because of tonight. We pray. Humbly, we pray with gratitude, the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. I pledge allegiance to the United States of America, and to the Republic for which stands. One nation, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Thanks so very much. Appreciate you being here. Mayor. If I could, just one comment. Corey Wolsenhume. We also have the great privilege of having him be a principal of one of our high schools at Columbia. The Wolsenhumes are a pillar in my opinion of the whole community. So I was glad to see him and his good sister Christy here tonight, too. So thanks, thanks for for being doing that role.
