We are so excited in Donaldson about something that's happening on Monday.

Our new Donaldson branch library opens.

Woo at nine thirty that morning.

And we have a full day of activities to celebrate this historic day.

There will be a puppet truck show at eleven.

We have the Nashville Symphony Storytime at one, the hours Irish stepdancers at two, cookie decorating in our new mobile kitchen at the library at five, and then we'll end with story time at six.

So I invite all of Nashville to come over to Donaldson on Monday.

Start with a ribbon cutting and spend the day with us.

Um, I would like to publicly congratulate um D thirty for President Gretchen Walsh, who is a graduate of Harpeth Hall.

She um she broke the world record in her one hundred meter butterfly on Saturday in Indianapolis.

And she is going to kill it at the Olympics.

We know that she has a really great chance.

Um, and so I wanted to just congratulate her on her huge victory.

Congratulations.

I want to use this opportunity to uh wish our daughter a happy birthday.

Uh today's the thirty-fourth birthday.

Uh many happy returns, Ainab.

And I want to wish my good friend Sabina, uh, who is also has a birthday today.

Uh, a very happy birthday.

Uh, also want to use the opportunity to wish uh everyone that celebrated each Sunday or Monday a happy Aid.

Uh, this Eid is uh when Muslim all over the world commemorates the story of Ibrahim uh when he was going to sacrifice his son and the good Lord gave him a ram instead.

So Muslim around the world as a tradition will kill the ram on this holiday uh to share with family and to share with friends.

So to all the Muslims around the world and non Muslims, uh celebrating Eid, uh happy to all, and I use this opportunity to pray for uh peace for all of us in our souls, in our homes, in our state, in our city, and definitely in our world.

Alzheimer's and brainhear.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm standing here tonight to uh recognize a very important um month in my personal story and my family story, June is considered Alzheimer's Awareness and Brain Awareness Month.

And so I have a proclamation before us that I'm going to read and join by my colleagues to recognize it.

So whereas Alzheimer's disease, a progressive neurodegenerative brain disorder, tragically robs individuals of their memories and leads to progressive mental and physical impairments.

Whereas the Alzheimer Association works tirelessly to increase awareness, raise funds, and advance public policy to fight all Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

And whereas these efforts have thereby improved the quality of human life for those living with all Alzheimer's and their caregivers and now therefore I, Russ Bradford, District 13 Councilmember of the Metropolitan Government, Nashville and Dayson County, Tennessee, do hereby recognize June 2024 as Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month and urge all residents to wear purple in support of Alzheimer's Association and those living with Alzheimer's and dementia and their caregivers.

I wanted to invite everyone on July 3rd to our fireworks celebration that we are bringing back to Antioch that will be in Millridge Park.

And it will be from 7 to 10 p.m.

We will have fireworks, food, and music.
