So free control North Segment Professional Services Agreement.

So this is for the northern segment of the trail that travels from Mount Taber Road to the Floyd Clark County line.

So we've completed the design on this portion and it's been submitted to DNR and we're just waiting on their approval at this point.

This agreement is for the uh bidding of the project and for the construction administration and inspection with HWC to work on their design as well.

So if this contract uh is approved today, then that puts us on schedule for bidding in uh May.

So then we would be able to start construction uh early summer and uh hopefully get completed um by next summer of 2027.

So it's pretty exciting um advancement for us on that portion of the trail.

Uh and um we uh are looking forward to to getting started on this next on this next step.

So this is for a total of a hundred and fifty-four thousand dollars, and uh I'm happy to answer any questions uh the actual length of that trail at that point is uh it's it's all five miles.

And it includes uh 12.4 miles that is outside of the city limits itself, so within one account up to that floor part why I mean for my same point, um I guess first things talking about the agreement itself.

Um the agreement's pretty standard for what we've seen uh in the past.

Um I I want to make a note that they're anticipating a 12-month schedule, so um, you know, uh they've already kind of uh I think assumed a pretty fair window uh for construction activities and I uh I mean obviously we're gonna try and you know see if we can outperform that, but uh I I I would I don't think there's any indication on our part that this would go for longer, correct?

No, I mean that's the the timeline that I've outline would be about a year for construction.

Yeah, so so from that same point, uh you know I think the the agreement we we're getting essentially the the all inclusive services related to bidding construction admin and and related inspection.

Um obviously, you know uh I I think it's always good when we do these sorts of projects to make sure that um we're we're we're basically required uh you know to to have those things.

Uh it's part of doing business.

Uh so uh you know, again, I think the the the contract here is in order.

Um as a personal note of the project, I'm very excited about this.

Um I think everybody here on on the commission knows that uh this has been something we've been involved with for a number of years.

Uh it's something that other communities are involved with from a regional standpoint, and um, you know, the realization of this trail um for our section as well as for uh the sections that that connect up all the way to Mitchell uh has such a potential in terms of both recreation and uh ecotourism.

So you know, I I think that um you know seeing this come to fruition and seeing this northern section done um is is is a critical component uh to the completing that work and uh I you know I think we have everything in order to to move this forward.
