- Work Order No. 1 with H&B Services: Authorized for $2,499 to repair a failing pipe headwall behind Greenway Commons. The pipe is sinking and misaligned; the work will bring it up to code and ensure proper water exit velocity. The Army Corps of Engineers issued a letter of no objection.
- Work Order No. 2 with H&B Services: Authorized for pipe camera inspection, required every five years to maintain compliance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the National Flood Insurance Program. The last inspection began in 2020 and was completed in 2021. This work order is for the next inspection cycle. The system was completed in 1950, so many pipes are approximately 76 years old.

Good morning. Call the order of the August 11th, 2026 meeting of the new Albany Flight Control District Board of Commissioners. We get with approval of minutes. Make a motion to approve. Second. Motion's been made moved by second. All those in favor signify by saying aye. Aye. Aye. Aye. A lot of people want to speak to that. Anyone from the vote that they need to take sign in. Communications from the director. Good morning. For the record, river level is currently 1420 feet. Over the next week, it's jumping rapidly. Yeah, I'm not quite sure why, but we're monitoring it. It's gonna get up to 38 feet by uh Saturday. How high? 38. So it's it's jumping about 23 feet here. Wow. Keep an eye on it. Uh nothing to be concerned with yet. Just get about fifty. Could just be logs releasing stuff from upstream or something, but haven't got any notifications, so something to monitor, but nothing to worry about yet. Um in addition to that, we've got the entire system checked out again this month. Everything ran, every gate turned, um, everything's in good shape, grease, moved, ready to go going in the flood season. We're uh working with the fire department to schedule the enclosure testing for the year. Um so we'll get that done sometime September or October. But up and ready to go into fourth season come November. Which one? What's that? Which ones are you putting in? Uh I believe this year is Providence Way and 18th, if I remember correctly. I know Providence Way. We always do one big and one small three year, and I know Providence is up. I can't remember the small one. I want to say 18th Street. Um addition to that, I've got two service agreements for URL's consideration. Uh the first one is work order number one with the H and B. It's a continuing service agreement. We've got a pipe head wall out behind Greenway Commons that's failing erosion over the years, is eating some of the dirt underneath the pipe away, pipes starting to sink in the ground and no longer lining up with the head wall. So this would put an agreement in place with HMB. Um to remove the current existing head wall that's failing, realign the pipe, reinstall a new head wall, so it's up to code. Um as of right now, if we were to get some major flooding in there, the exit velocity of the water wouldn't be what it needs to be to get the pipe clear. So necessary work like your also uh approval to move forward with that 2499. Yes. I've already got a letter of no objection from the Army Corps based on this plan. So we're in good shape there.
