• Evolve Main Street Harvest Homecoming Garage Request: The commission reviewed a request to utilize the State Street parking garage during the Harvest Homecoming Festival (Thursday, October 8 through Sunday, October 11). The proposed revenue sharing was 75% to Evolve Main Street and 25% to the commission, consistent with prior years. Discussion occurred about whether the garage should open earlier than noon on Thursday to accommodate early festivalgoers. Commissioner Norwood noted that the noon start allows downtown workers to keep their spaces. The commission decided to note the observation for future consideration. A motion to approve the request as presented passed unanimously.
• Claims Worksheet: The largest payment was the full payoff of the Daisy Lane road extension installment purchase contract. Members expressed satisfaction that the debt is now eliminated. The claims were approved unanimously.
