The New Orleans City Council held its regular meeting on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the City Hall Council Chamber. The meeting was called to order with a roll call (Councilmember Hughes initially absent but arrived later), an invocation, and the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council considered a lengthy agenda including a consent agenda, several zoning dockets, legislative groupings, appeals, motions, and ordinances. The meeting adjourned at 12:20 PM. All seven councilmembers were present for most votes (McCarron, Harris, King, Green, Hughes, Morrell, Willard). Several items were deferred or continued to the March 12, 2026 meeting.
