The New Orleans City Planning Commission met on December 12, 2023, at 1:30 PM in Council Chambers to consider 17 agenda items. The meeting was chaired by the Commission and included roll call, adoption of minutes, public hearings, discussions, and votes on zoning dockets, subdivision dockets, property dispositions, and acquisitions. Commissioner Alexander was recognized for her service on her last day. The meeting adjourned late in the evening.
Good afternoon. We'd like to ask everyone to take their seats. We're going to get started for the December City Planning Commission. Please go ahead and fill out a card. There should be at least two locations to go ahead and do that, and you can have them stamped. As we get started, I'm going to go ahead and take roll call. Commissioner Steag. Here. Before we get started, I'd like to thank Commissioner Alexander. Today is her last day as a public servant in being a city planning commissioner. And we just really want to thank you for your time and your service and for always showing up. For those of you that don't know, this is a volunteer position, and you are recommended and get approved, but it does take a lot of time and energy. And we just thank you for taking time out of your work and personal life to be here to better the city of New Orleans. Thank you. It has been my pleasure serving the citizens of New Orleans in this capacity, Commissioner Whitry. Best of luck on your campaign. So council, we're gonna need a new commissioner. Um that hopefully you can get that started by our January meeting. Um followed at all public hearings. Before speaking, each person shall give their name, their address, and state who he or she is representing. Proponents for the proposal will speak for a period of 10 minutes. Each speaker will be allowed of two minutes. Commissioners. Opponents or other interested parties will speak second for a period of 15 minutes. Each speaker will be allowed two minutes. Proponents will be allowed a period of six minutes for rebuttal. Each speaker shall be allowed a madam a maximum of two minutes, and opponents will not be able to rebut. No material written photographs, maps, will be accepted by the commission or its staff any time during this public hearing. This procedure shall be followed except at such time when the proceeding officer shall with approval of the commission members present extend such time. The first thing that we are going to do is adopt the meeting minutes from the November 14th, 2023 meeting. Commissioner Flick will make a motion for approval of mini minutes. Is there a second?
