Good afternoon and thank you for joining us today for the grand opening in ribbon cutting of Cocoa Bubble Tea.

I'm Catherine White, Executive Director of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, and we are thrilled to welcome this group with Coco Bubble Tea here to New Rochelle.

This is the second business that this group of owners has brought to us into New Rochelle with even more to come.

So we're thrilled for this grand opening today.

With that, we have a number of special guests here with us, and I'd like to just briefly kind of go through the run through and let everyone know who's here.

Of course, to begin, we have Mayor Yadira Ramos Herbert.

City Manager Will Melendez.

Fire Chief Andy Sandor.

From the Office of Economic Development, we have both the Deputy Commissioner Jorge Ventura and the director, Kevin Jimenez.

We are standing here in District 4, and of course, that is represented by City Council representative Shane O'Sheen Loyer.

From Terry Clements office, she sends best wishes with her representative Jack Cardwell.

As we're here in the downtown, of course, we have representation from the New Rochelle Downtown Bid.

We have Executive Director Ann Gold.

And board member James O'Toole.

We have several of them here with us today.

She Hab, Haseeb, Omar, and Sammy.

And there are several other chamber members here to just join in the welcoming from Casa Roma.

We have Kevin and Yadi from Fast Signs, we have Michelle, we have Jimena here with us, we have Glenia from Hotel Noma, and I'm sure there are some others in the crowd.

I'm sorry if I've overlooked anyone.

And of course, just to keep us safe, NRPD is here because they're always here to support our businesses, and we're thrilled by that.

So now I'd like to bring up Mayor Yadira Ramos Herbert to say a few words of welcome.

Um, just also want to recognize representatives from Senator Natalia Fernandez's office are also here supporting the business.

Um I just I where are you?

Okay, sorry, it's not conducive to how I want to speak to you.

I just want to give the owners a hearty, like a deep felt thank you for continuing to choose New Rochelle.

Um I know to do this, you have to have a fortitude and a resiliency and a very candy positive attitude, and that this is your second coming on third and potentially fourth business with us in New Rochelle.

This is exactly the kind of energy we want in our downtown.

I'm already excited for when we have jazz in the park and the kids are gonna be at the splash pad and being able to get a quick snack or when there's summer sizzle right at Library Green and you can park and just walk over.

So you really found a I was gonna say sweet spot, but like that actually works a sweet spot for the activations that we have here in for our community.

So thank you for believing in us and let us know what we can do to help you be successful in your business adventure.

Um, I just want to also give a thank you to the owners of this establishment.

I plan on being here a lot considering that my office is at 500 Main Street.

Um, I'm also insisting now that we have a bubble tea competition in Neurochell.

Um, and I can't wait to try Cocoa Bubble Tea.

I'm I'm very excited for this.

I want to thank you, owners, for being here and bringing more business to Neurochelle, particularly the District 4.

So I'm just very pleased today, and I always want more bubble tea, so we were definitely gonna be here.

Come out and support, it's literally right in the heart of the downtown.

So if you grab town pizza, get bubble tea next.

This is really something that's innovative for New Rochelle, and it's more it's it's just we need more of this.

another great grand opening lots of moving pieces nobody does it like Catherine does I'm so happy to be here Hasieb congratulations Hasib's partners who I have to meet congratulations the orange energy the vibe you're bringing this is just so hip and cool and I'm so excited to see the inside how it's automated this is really something that's innovative for New Rochelle and it's more it's it's just we need more of this the energy keeps growing it keeps getting better thank you for believing in New Rochelle and thank you for being here and now we we're going to hear from the owners we have both Haseeb and Shihab coming up to say a few words thank you everybody thank you for having us and uh we're glad to be here uh bringing the first coco to Western County always been a fan of cocoa fan of bubble tea and I want everybody to enjoy it as much as I did growing up and uh thank you for having us thank you all right guys thank you so much for today I just want to say a little bit uh I just want to say something cocoa is a little bit different than your average bubble tea it's more of an exotic feeling and with this location in the heart of New Rochelle right in front of Anderson Plaza I feel like it'll be great to the city and especially for the kids and just want to touch on that so oh yeah let me touch on this as well we're open from 11am to 11 p.m we're one of the only businesses in the area that opens up late so whenever you guys are in the rounds are in the area looking for something sweet come to Coco come to Cafe Haven you'll be served you guys have a job opening residents no well we definitely touch base with you soon and uh on the second of April which is Thursday we're doing 150 free drinks to the first people and we're also giving out after the event as well and there's a we have a bunch of free swag for you guys as well thank you now a bunch of drinks I want to give out as well so now I'd like to call up Glenia uh from the Chamber of Commerce and from Hotel Nomad she's got a presentation so if owners if you could come forward oh you don't need that to say a few words sorry once again thank you for choosing again new rochelle for your business we're very um grateful for that and on behalf of the chamber of new rochelle we want to give you the certificate and wish you all the best and we're here to support okay whatever so much with that get a few pop in for a photo ready three baby
