So we'll begin today with our adjourned cases.

We have one case on the agenda.

That is 2-2026 application by Nicola Doyle to install illuminated chattel channel letter sign at 20 East Main Street.

So what's my job, sorry?

Yeah, you talk about the sign or Mary here applying for a sign for maybe so.

Looking for approval.

Um yeah, I'm looking for approval for this sign.

Um I think the size of it, it is a little large, but it's fitting with the um the other signs in the neighborhood.

I'm in the um the district for the car dealerships.

Um so um to the left, right and across the road are all um similar size signs.

Um it is in compliance with the OCM, the Office of Cannabis Management.

Um I thought it was nice and clean looking.

I had the architect help me with it, and he said it was a very fitting size for the size of the building.

I think it's supposed to be one third of the um the width of the building to kind of look right.

Um I think that's it.

I should be able to scroll through there.

Oh, can I pictures of the uh facilities?

Oh yeah, I can't scroll down, sorry.

I was trying to.

I think this is a single job.

Um the issue with the sign is the variance for the size 47 inch letters where 16 is permitted.

Okay.

So like triple the size.

Yeah.

So you may, you know, it's appropriate.

We're talking about the height of the line.

Uh but all the other buildings around me, every building I can see has similar size signs.

I mean I have the Honda dealership across the road.

I included them at this file, but they're not.

So you're saying it's in context with environmental.

Yeah.

Um, I I sent the menu, they're just not attached there.

Oh, you have it.

Yeah.

So you can I know it's on the side.

Yeah, if we go, so that's me.

If I can reach all the way over.

Uh so you can see the mouse then the Honda across the road.

Um right across from me, that's a Honda.

Um I can't reach the one.

Do you know if I can go further along to the next building here?

And then we have the G and Larchmont and Ram, uh, Dodge.

Um, they're all, yeah, it's just the area that I'm in and the staples.

But I think we're out of Nourishell now, so yeah.

Um yeah, I just thought it would be fitting to have a sign that kind of was in line with the other signs in the neighborhood as far as size and um style.

Similar kind of letters to the uh dealership signs, uh singular letters.

What is the height of the uh description below it in blue?

Can it dispensary?

What is the height of that?

Cannabis dispensary.

So that's just within right.

Okay.

The word above it is four feet tall.

That's true.

Yeah.

The word above it is very large.

Yeah.

Is it possible that it could be shrunk down half size?

So instead of four feet, it could be two feet, and then you would have um a font discrepancy or font difference between and hierarchy between Cushy and the cannabis dispensary.

Yeah, I I haven't made uh we haven't made the sign yet, so I can I'm definitely up to any recommendations that you have.

I would like to keep it on the larger size because I think smaller will make my building look the building is massive, and then if I have this pokey sign in the middle, it's well it is kind of in proportion.

Right now it's the architect said that that was a good size, and uh, but I mean I'm willing to obviously uh any recommendations that you have or if you don't think it's a good idea.

Um I think the script in the typeface that you use is appealing.

That's very nice.

You can use the space between the word cushy and the blue strip.

Yeah, but the kush itself could be reduced a little bit.

Yeah, okay.

So maybe three feet.

We ought to discuss what a little bit is.

Yeah, right.

I think maybe there could be, well there could be a few ways to do it.

The cushy could be half size, um, and then cannabis dispensary could also be smaller.

So that it those are more in proportion.

Um it could be that cushy is reduced down just by a quarter, and cannabis dispensary is also reduced down a little.

Um they might be able to um if the cannabis dispensary is in compliance, uh we might be able to separate the letters a little bit to make it look fitting, then if we shrink it down a small bit.

Right, then it might look good.

Yeah.

Correct.

So you have things of what we're talking about.

Yeah, yeah.

Although I've I feel like it is larger than the organ, the the font type is is not invasive.

Oh, it's very small.

It's really it's no the font or the colors are different.

They look really nice.

Yeah, we spent a whole year trying to get this place up and running.

It's huge.

So our recommendations come back with the different size.

Oh, do I have to come back another month?

Maybe you could bring a couple other, you know, a couple other alternatives, you know, like you mean um like different um just a different size variations and different placement of you know, the if the word cushy is a little smaller than it's cannabis dispensary in line with it.

Application by Robert Young to install two new two wall size and lettering at 55 Quaker Ridge Road.

So the I believe it's one of the one of these your two files that you use.

So this is one of those.

Well, we can start with this one, then we'll open the other one.

Um, so um, I'm here representing Tennis Innovators Academy.

Um the signed guy.

Um, so basically, this is this we're gonna see two signs.

One is for you know the street facing area.

This is more for your you know, entrance into the building.

Um so we were obviously we only have so much space to work with.

So this is the sign that we came up with.

For this um this uh entranceway.

Yeah, these are individual letters mounted to a raceway fitting on the overhang over there.

If you need me to zoom in on anything, well this this one is compliant with the sign code, it's only being brought up because it's two signs on the facade of the building.

Got it.

This is this one is okay.

The big one on the front of the building is probably what you want to focus on.

Um excel these letters would be individually mounted on the wall.

As opposed to on a raceway.

So this is facing Quakeridge Road.

Um obviously this scale of the building on the street there is pretty large.

Um so we wanted to have a sign that kind of um match that scale and fit within it, I guess.

Yeah, and then the top letters are within 30 inches, and the bottom one's like 11.

11, yeah.

Yeah, so we'll see.

Across the street, there's residential or it's hidden behind trees.

Yeah, a lot of trees.

Okay.

There is residential button.

Okay, because this is the old fountain yes, okay.

So it's the neighbors' backyards.

Um I think they're mostly elevated.

You know, next to it is the vet the vet hospital and then uh shopping center, and I should have you submitted some street views.

Um, this is this is the tree cover you have here, so it's pretty noticeable.

Um that only lasts just so many months.

Yeah, it's actually it I I agree, but um, it's actually a lot denser than you'd think, even in the winter.

I didn't have any complaints during construction, so that was good.

Um then, yeah.

Shopping center, chase, shopping.

Yeah, so there are already our lit signs.

And this parking lot is extremely bright.

A lot of times put timers, some people put sensors on, so it runs all night with the sensor.

You know, so I prefer timers.

This way you could control it.

Yeah, it's a form, it's an application form.

They can get directly online and they send all the information over to me.

That's a whole other problem.
