Meeting Transcript
Good morning. I'm Catherine White, Executive Director of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, and it's a great day in New Rochelle as we welcome everyone to the newly relocated Space Beauty Spa on North Avenue. Space Beauty Spa was originally on Main Street in North five years ago, but they've recently relocated up here where there's ample parking, both on the street and in the Illustrator Public Parking Garage. It's a great day, and we're proud to have them here and we're happy to celebrate. Yeah. We have Martha Lopez, she's the MWBE director for Westchester County, as well as a city council representative here in New Rochelle. We have Mariana Hussefai here for us. She is the small business relations manager for the city of New Rochelle. You pretty much can't have a business in New Rochelle if you're not working with Mariana. Of course, we wouldn't be here today without our developers. So we have Bob Young here from the Young Companies. From Terry Clemens office, Westchester County legislator, we have her aide, Cam Cameron Stanford. And of course we have New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce members who've taken some time out of their day to welcome Elizabeth and Space Beauty Spa to North Avenue, including Glenny Orojas from Noma Hotel. Hugo Velasquez from Home Thesis and from the Gentleman's Lab. And Christopher Coste from the Gentleman's Lab also. He's the Master Barber. And their next door neighbor. So first I'd like to bring up the mayor to say a few words of welcome. Catherine. So to Elizabeth, thank you. Live. Sorry, go ahead. Take a step up so we have that program. I want to say thank you. You chosen to live in New Rochelle for close to 20 years. You opened the business on Main Street and you're sticking with New Rochelle. I want to thank Bob for making sure we don't lose Elizabeth and her beautiful aesthetic and her talent and her professionalism. We are so grateful that you chose New Rochelle. When you decided to move, you could have gone anywhere and you chose to stay home. And we really appreciate you. Congratulations, Elizabeth. Thank you, Mayor. And now I'd like to bring up Martha Lopez, MWBE Director for West for Westchester County. Thank you so much. Thank you. Not that I'm a little bit short, but uh anyway, Elizabeth. Economic development means so much for the county executive and for the county in general. But being on New Rochelle and you know for the past 20 years and opening this wonderful business, it means so much to all of us. Muchísimas felicidades and we wish you the very best. Thank you. And now from the young companies, Bob Young. Thank you everybody for coming out today. We're uh we're really happy that uh we were able to get uh uh Space Beauty over here to uh our section of uh North Avenue and it kind of completes the uh completes the area for us. I wish her a lot of good luck. Thank you, thank you. And as we say, the star of the show, Elizabeth Rhodes, the woman of the hour. Thank you everybody for being here today. I'm Pishar. I just want to say thanks, Scott, my family, my loyalty clients, and no less important than my team. Without them, that can be possible.
