So we will begin with the adjourned cases for tonight.

1:07

The first one on the agenda is 36-2026 application by Dave Pottinger to install an internally illuminated exterior wall sign with front lift push-through letters and a non-illuminated blade sign displaying the self studio at 632 Main Street.

1:33

Application by Dave Pottinger to recover an existing awning measuring.

Speaker 3

1:47

We'll adjourn that for the next meeting.

Speaker 2

1:49

You want to adjourn it?

1:50

Yeah, can you just come up because we want it on record?

Speaker 3

1:52

Okay.

1:59

Uh thanks everyone.

2:00

Uh Dave Pollinger from Fast Science.

2:02

Uh for that uh 632 Main Street.

2:04

Uh request an adjournment for that.

2:06

We're still working with the customer to um you know work through that uh funding for that installation.

2:13

So uh request an adjournment.

Speaker 2

2:15

Okay, just just so I mean that's fine.

2:17

You also have the option, like if you were to be approved today, you know, you they would just have the approval.

2:23

So you know you could still mean tonight.

2:25

Yeah, okay.

2:26

It doesn't mean that they have to do it right as is the moment they get the permit.

2:30

You can just have we'll have the permanent file when the customer has the funds to install, then you can move forward with the installation.

2:37

So it just all depends on what you want to do.

2:38

So if you want to present it

Speaker 4

2:39

tonight, we can get that formality part out.

2:42

You're here.

2:44

Uh they make a changes to the sign?

Speaker 3

2:47

Uh there are no changes made.

2:49

So what what was submitted is what we would uh plan to install.

2:52

It would still be a uh internal illuminated push-through channel sign and a uh uh a blade sign non-illuminated, and they're still looking to recover the ones on and do you want

Speaker 4

3:06

to present it while you're here or

Speaker 3

3:08

sure.

3:08

I have to go through the details.

Speaker 4

3:10

Yeah, I mean you're going

Speaker 3

3:11

through the hands.

3:12

Yeah,

Speaker 2

3:13

some of us we've reviewed it since it was on the last meeting, so we're familiar with the design, but we'll just open that up so you can.

Speaker 3

3:21

Yeah, okay.

3:22

Uh great.

3:23

So what what's shown on the screen is the um internal illuminated uh push-through um uh acrylic letter sign um with the text uh the self studio.

3:36

Um the the methods of attachments are uh shown.

3:40

Um so it's it's within the the code in terms of sizing, uh better heights uh and everything else uh should meet uh code requirements for for approval.

Speaker 5

3:57

Okay, that's just to show

Speaker 3

3:59

  • New Case 38-2026: Signage at 24 Shape Place (Capital Preparatory School) – Brian Cullen proposed removing existing facade lettering and a cross, then installing new dimensional acrylic letters (10 inches tall for main, 5.5 inches for "Capital Prep", 7 inches for "Charter School"), four school banners (48"x32" each) on projecting arms, and a double-sided post and panel sign. Existing sign ghosting will be cleaned. Commission approved three motions: (1) letters above front door, (2) four banners, (3) post and panel sign.
  • New Case 39-2026: Awning at 24 Shape Place – Dave Pottinger presented a canopy for the kindergarten entrance at the back of the school building. The canopy projects 60 inches, width covering the door, with school logo on the face. Commission approved a single motion to approve the canopy.
