Northfield Environmental Quality Commission Meeting, July 15, 2026

The Environmental Quality Commission (EQC) met on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at Northfield City Hall. Four commissioners and a youth representative were present, with three commissioners absent. The commission discussed the item with Pabich. Commissioner Kimberly Haroldson left the meeting at 6:41 p.m.; no vote or decision was recorded on the letter.
• 26-379 2026-2027 Work Plan and Commission Priorities: Subcommittee leads provided updates:
  • Energy Efficiency Education for Residents: Commissioner Petri reported abundant material ready for distribution. At Provancha's request, Pabich updated on a tabling opportunity at the upcoming Riverwalk Market Fair.
  • Electric Vehicle Community Showcase: Chair Rob Hanson reminded the commission of the event scheduled for September 26, 2026.
  • Active Transportation Awareness Campaign: No new updates.
  • Landscaping & Native Planting Research: Work continues.
  • Waste Reduction Library Research: Vice Chair Provancha reported that work on this initiative is complete.
