The North Las Vegas City Council and Redevelopment Agency held a joint meeting on October 1, 2025, starting with an invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, and four presentations. The council then proceeded through the redevelopment agency agenda, city council consent agenda, public hearings on three easement vacation requests, introduction of three ordinances, and a city manager's report. No public comments were made during any of the public forum periods.

There are four public forums set aside for public comments, one at the beginning and the end of the redevelopment agency meeting, one at the beginning and the end of the city council meeting. If you wish to speak, please complete one of the blue cards, which are located on the table outside the main entrance and at the podium rail. Please give your card to the city clerk when called upon to speak. We request that you limit your comments to no more than two minutes. Madam City Clerk, are we in compliance with the Nevada Open Meeting Law? Yes, ma'am, we are. Today we have the opportunity to have the invocation given by Pastor Dean Sanner of Discovery Church. Following that will be the Pledge of Allegiance as led by Mayor Pro Tim Scott Black. Would you please rise? Welcome, Pastor. Yet in this city, Lord, we we look back, many with heavy hearts that have been impacted by that. But Lord, we thank you for the way our community has rebounded and for the way our community leaders have brought us through that. And Lord, we're grateful for our city here in North Las Vegas. And we're grateful for all those today that are going to be honored and recognized for their wonderful work. Lord, we pray that their good work would inspire others to do things that are going to impact our community in a positive way. Lord, we pray for all of our first responders, our educators, those that are on the forefront of things that happen in this community. Lord, for all of our city workers, we pray their morale would increase. They would have camaraderie and it wouldn't just be going to work, but it would be living out a dream. Lord, we pray also for our council, council members and the uh authority that they have. And Lord, it's easy for people to want to tempt them and get into their ears. Lord, we pray you'd give them uh the ability to stand firm and have the integrity that this city demands. Lord, we thank you for the direction and the guidance that they have given this city and for the results that have taken place as a result of it. We pray you would continue us on the trajectory that you have us and that we would all be able to be a blessing to others, and we ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you, Pastor. We have a proclamation for fire prevention week, a certificate of recognition for create, and a significant a certificate of recognition for principal Amanda Lush from Quantum McCall Elementary School.
