North Las Vegas City Council and Redevelopment Agency Meeting – April 1, 2026

The North Las Vegas City Council and Redevelopment Agency met on April 1, 2026, to conduct routine business, recognize community achievements, and act on several resolutions and ordinances.   • Asked about the feasibility of installing red light cameras at Simmons and Tropical, and at Aliante and Deer Springs. The resident also jokingly mentioned a parking ticket on Mr. Black’s vehicle.

Discussion Items

• Item 16 – VAC 13-2025, Green Art Planet: A public hearing for an application to vacate a public utility easement at 433 North Las Vegas Boulevard. Kira Byrne from Green Art Planet (nonprofit building school gardens and hydroponics labs) presented the project, noting their new headquarters will include a community garden, hydroponics lab, and STEM classroom opening this summer. Councilmembers expressed support, and Councilwoman Garcia Anderson noted the project is in Sunrise Manor but provides utilities from North Las Vegas. The public hearing was closed with no opposition, and the item was approved.
• Items 18, 19, 21, 22 – Resolutions and Ordinance to Adjust Board/Commission Meeting Frequencies:
