The Ocala Historic Preservation Advisory Board meeting on May 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM in Ocala City Hall was called to order but immediately adjourned due to lack of a quorum. Only four members were present: Jane Cosand, Carol Barber, Rick Hugli, and Tom McCullough. Noelle Smith, Joshua DeMonte, and Holland Drake were absent. Without a quorum, the board could not vote on any agenda items, including the three Certificates of Appropriateness (COAs) listed for review.

Um can we have a roll call? Um Miss Kosan? Yeah. Miss Smith is absent. Ms. Barber? Here. Mr. Hughley? Here. Mr. Damante is absent. Mr. McCullough? Here. We do not have a quorum. Okay. All right. Um and was the meeting posted? The public notice the public notice of the O'Cala Historic Preservation Advisory Board was posted on April 28th, 2026. Okay. Thank you. All right. So in this in light of this, um unfortunately, folks, I know y'all um come to uh do your certificates of appropriateness and um you know have the hearing before the board, unfortunately. We don't have a quorum, so we can't vote on that. And um truly and deeply we apologize for that. Um what's the next step, Miss Secretary? Um so we'll just close the meeting out and the next meeting will be the first Thursday of June at 4 p.m. Okay. We can't do it sooner than that. It has to be June. Yeah, can we move it up? We have to have chambers and exactly. Yeah, we have it like a tonight. We can certainly chat with our other board members and staff, but I don't know if it would be one of the also have that last week as uh a holiday week. And there's other meetings in the chamber. Construction in here replacing something, or I'm not sure if that'll be what changes are proposed from about like Wednesday or so without outline, so that's why we have to set vote last week. Okay. All right. I make a motion we uh adjourn the meeting. We can't vote. So we just adjourned. All right.
