Parker County Commissioners Court Regular Meeting - February 10, 2025

The Parker County Commissioners Court convened in regular session on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom at the Parker County Courthouse. Present were County Judge Pat Deen, Commissioner George Conley (Precinct 1), Commissioner Holt (Precinct 2), Commissioner Walden (Precinct 3), Commissioner Hale (Precinct 4), County Attorney John Forrest, and County Clerk Lila Deakle. The meeting included a quorum check, invocation, pledges, consent agenda items, approvals, a presentation, a transportation update, approval of minutes, an executive session, and consideration of numerous subdivision plats.

Consent Calendar

• Auditor items (certification of revenues, line item budget adjustments, payment of routine bills, audit reports) were approved as part of the consent agenda.
• Treasurer items (report on fund balances, acceptance/release of pledged securities, approval of payroll and insurance payments, unemployment appeal claims) were approved.
• County Judge items (acceptance of minutes, monthly reports, personnel changes) were approved by motion (Commissioner Walden, seconded by Commissioner Conley; all ayes).

• Cook Children’s Center for Community Health presented the Parker County Community Partner Award to County Relations Officer Cintia Ortiz. Emily and Mandy from Cook Children’s Community Health Outreach were acknowledged.

• Update on Transportation Projects: Chris Bosco of Freese & Nichols discussed ongoing reporting of bond projects. No action was taken.
• Executive Session (Closed): The court met in closed session from approximately 9:54 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (first session) and again at 10:48 a.m. (second session) to discuss real estate (Parker County Justice Center) and security (countywide security, IT network project, radio system update). No action was taken upon reconvening.
