Meeting Transcript

Council, your presence in our city is a great bend. It's very important. We have the honor to be here at Puebla with the Vice Arcalde Jamie Delgado for the inauguration of the governor. Obviously for me for an amount and a dedication to support that the culture of this community a delay of our programs in the city. Considering when we have a ceremony or the statue of the General Saragoza, I want to say that the day, after a conversation with the Council, we have a little bit of problems, I was a little bit of a lot of the country, as we know, we were new. But it is important to record the significance and what we can see the importance. So compared to this, we want the glance to those who are for this celebration. So ladies and gentlemen, it is always an honor, a privilege to come together to celebrate this amazing day. As we celebrate the 5 May, it has evolved into more of a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage. It has evolved into more of a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage. But I appreciate the council who came up here, Consort Mariana Diaz, who shared the significance, the history of the Battle of Puebla, and what it means to not only the Mexican people, but to all people to understand. As I was saying, considering the significance of the Battle of Puebla and what it represents, and it reminds us that we have battles every day. Battles that we must face, battles to maintain our unity as a community, battles to confront or stand against discrimination, to stand against oppression, to stand up for the heritage and culture that you should be proud of every single day. To stand up for the sacrifices that your parents have made to open up doors so that you may have an education, so that you may grow, so that you may prosper in this nation. She came here to the city of the sake and she spoke to our students, she spoke to our amazing Mexican community. To remember that your accomplishments, your success, they are not just the way that you pay back those who sacrificed for you, but it is also a reflection of your community and a signal, a message to all those that come after you, that because you are possible, they are possible. In the midst of all the celebration and all the noise, if you pause, perhaps you will hear the whispers of the brave men and women who gave their lives in that remarkable battle against at the time the greatest army in the world in order to maintain to secure and to ensure that there would be independence, liberty, and freedom for all Mexicans for all times. So today, when you see the celebration, when you see the celebrations and the dances, know what it represents. It is a wonderful celebration of culture, of heritage, but of courage.
