And the first is Water Services Department Asset Management Program Udate.

Yes, Madam Chair, members of the subcommittee.

I'll introduce Troy Hayes, Water Services Director, who's here to speak on this item.

He'll introduce his team presenting.

Vice Mayor and members of the subcommittee.

Um, we are back here today to have a little discussion about asset management.

As you recall, as we were here back in October talking about asset management as related to pipes, uh today we want to talk about uh that asset management principles as it relates to water and wastewater treatment facilities and remote facilities.

Uh, as you guys are well aware, remote facilities are pump stations, pressure reducing stations and tanks and other things that we have out in our system that help us move water around and make sure that we are able to have reliable services.

The asset management principles that we have are based on extending the useful life life of our assets and making sure that we're getting the most out of them, making sure that our condition assessments and our maintenance programs are correlated so that we get the longest lasting life out of our assets and that we're not having to go back in and replace them.

But then on the other side of having those planned out and the replacements done so that we're not running to failure and having situations out in our system.

I have with me again here today our assistant director, Nazario Prieto, as well as our two fabulous deputy directors of engineering, Darlene Helm and Patty Kennedy.
