So, I think that's a good thing.

Well, we are really happy to have you and uh you and I know each other for uh some time.

And uh well, obviously director Grace did a phenomenal job and went missing.

We are excited to see all of you will be doing and your vision once you have like fully configure and running over here.

So maybe the next meeting we'll get a full presentation from you.

I think on uh absolutely on you know some of your observations going into this, some of the things that you want to accomplish and like further conversation about the things that we'll have talked about.

I think we're you know, as a world and uh you know the progress we've made over the past couple of years, and that you know that you all helped I can end this new role.

So absolutely happy to add this.

I think tonight we will um there'll be kind of a group conversation here.

So director, uh acting director, Julio, uh director nominee How and uh assistant director.

We'll do a final combination of uh square.

Maybe one of these days we'll graduate and get one of these sweet things.

So our uh our agenda for tonight is to have a presentation that we normally do about the space that we're in right now, so they have a community center, do uh brief review of some programming review of the fall and winter programming that we have registrations coming up on.

Um and then want to spend a good amount of time talking about rec center construction updates.

Uh we have three centers that are um under construction right now and closed in various different capacities and for different periods of time.

So we want to hear more about that and what the plan is to ensure that the getting the services that they need, hopefully the spaces that they need, and then we'll open it up for public comment as we always do.

So I will turn it over to David and Jackie and uh Sean, and they bag on a presentation of where we are from Elmond Community Center right now and how we got here.

Yeah, um, so again, just uh kind of uh we've actually able to do a small program um 365 and uh the shirt comes uh um just coming up which kind of included the letters and parts a lot of different folks like portion of it um past administrative operations fields as well uh um the speed allows the kind of getting design work um to get some actions to have some more programs in the line and some of the rank and what we're doing right now is working with some folks in policy, uh the department has to be able to try the uh programs we can have in this location once the construction point is done.

But I can kind of talk more about them next slide.

But this is just some pictures that you guys can see.

Some of the final parts I know totally were here.

We were here as well, kind of see what these kids were able to put together.

And what they did during that program was they visited centers every Friday, um, got to got a little bit of presentation as to what this location looks like.

Um, what are the kind of the reports of the themes of this location kids with them went back and created some ideas as to what product design would be.

But it was just again really good use of this phase during the interim time during a phase period where we want to work in the business or what's safe like this to be in here.

Um but now we're kind of getting towards the end, hopefully, uh with some other programming and so the construction visible so we can get into some of the programming.

Um what I have identified is come up the three pillars that this program that's helping to fund some of the work that's working on this location will allow us to be able to do.

So some things that I want to kind of that we would be working on and currently working on is identifying folks we can work with for health workforce development education.

Um, and ideally at the the point would be to have some programs that would be centered around some overhost prevent prevention, first aid training IDs, um, Narcan training working with our payment department to be able to do that, um, and then as well as some um other options to have workforce development, similar things kind of allowing people to have a centralized location for resources um and hopefully try to add upon what we've done covering this collection duration in our summer camps, um, which I which I'm which you're aware of as well.

Um, and then the education piece again, working with some community organizations, uh university for one is trying to someone kind of working with and planning needs to be able to provide some more extended learning opportunities um and programs like you mentioned about kind of allowing a space for those folks um to be in.

So, all right, so on the other community center, obviously.

So I know uh Cecilie was the director here previously.

I don't believe that there's a director or the SOE right now, but we're in the search process on that.

Is that correct?

So at this current moment, I've obviously Sean being his first uh his first week here.

That was kind of the one of the one of the main um agenda items that we want to take care of is this these next coming months is looking at what that means would look like because a lot of the work that's going on in these locations, not only at Elmwood, but Davy Lopes and Johnson will have to be facilitated and managed by specific individuals.

So that's something that I've kind of mentioned to Sean as I be to kind of focus our attention on getting somebody in that seat as soon as possible.

Obviously, we're some transitions, kind of just making sure someone went well, but now that we can kind of focus more internally and kind of aligning ourselves with some of these programs, that's definitely something that I might read up for sure.

So is this fit?

Is this facility considered closed because of the construction or as of right now?

We don't have any consistent programming and everything that we do really is just a contingent on the buildable safety, which we get a direct report from other property who are actually working with the contractors and the folks that are in the building.

And so the again, so the construction that's going on though, is that does that prohibit the building from being open, or is that sort of cornered off and separate?

No, so right now it would be tough to react to the program and you guys have to see a little bit of the tour because they're doing some flooring work in that in that lower level area, as well as some work on the upstairs to connect the some of the conference rooms to other ones that are in that upstairs location.

And if you've seen on the big conference room, there's some walls that have been pulled out to be doing some you know, that's great work and also working on intercom system that'll be in the front office of this location.

Um to just to kind of make our building a lot more safe and funded for community films.

Almost what's the estimate of time we will line on with this proposal?

So right now it's tentatively um the end of this evening.

The end of this year, correct.
