Discussion Item: Community Choice Aggregation Program (Item 21)
A sustainability staff member explained that Item 21 seeks approval to enter into a five-year electricity supply agreement with NextEra Energy for the city's community choice aggregation program. The program provides an alternative to Rhode Island Energy's default supply, typically offering lower rates and additional renewable energy. The procurement was managed by Good Energy, and all seven participating towns agreed that NextEra remains the best option. The board approved the item.

Item number two in shelter or providence police department in shelter dog trainer slash evaluator for providence animal control, three-year contract with two one year options to renew. One bid. There is one bid for item number two. Item number three, Providence Police Department, purchase of ammunition and supplies, fiscal twenty-six. Five bids. Five bids for item number three. The first bidder is Hutton Tactical Arms and Ammo LLC, and they've bid one hundred fifty-seven thousand four hundred and eighty dollars. Second bidder is uh Thomas J. Morris the third. And their bid is a unit price for a total of one hundred twelve thousand four hundred and nine dollars. Yeah. Uh the third bidder is Brian Tart Ammo L L C and they have provided a unit price spin. Um the next bidder is Aries Integrated Resources LLV, who have provided a unit price bid. The next bidder is Jerk Brothers, Inc. And their bid is one hundred twenty-six thousand nine hundred and nine dollars.
