We are live. Awesome. Thank you. Madam Clark, can we uh read item one into the record, please? An ordinance and amendment of chapter two, art and city life, article 22, sections two through 351 through 2-358 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Professor. Awesome, thank you. So just so the public is aware, because it shows a lot of people at home listening to us right now. This uh ordinance uh should have been passed with the budget. This is an amendment uh to uh existing ordinance uh that's gonna allow uh proposed funds uh to be used in a way that is currently not allowed. And that uh allowance is gonna allow the arts boards and culture department to issue uh community uh organizations uh grants and funds uh for different art projects uh across the city. Uh merchants that June Rose is here if anyone has questions uh from committee members. Uh so this isn't I presume this is not an actual budget change and that are not provide additional funds that passed through a rather case. We classify funds in the already for that. That's right. It's yeah, it's authorizing the use of those existing funds that branded do you want to speak to this? Okay, yeah, Brandon. Uh yeah, Brandon, I'm just going to go in just to fill up the practices. I do state your name and it type for the record. I mean, it's Brandon Welch, my policy and last for the city council. Good evening, number one. Following on that, as cheaper mentioned, this would not actually provide additional funding for infrastructure grants. This would allow the department of arts, culture, and tourism to use funding from their allocation under the capital improvement plan to make grants to cultural institutions in support of their infrastructure needs. Again, indeed overview presented by Act Director Wilson. He did note that one frequent experience in speaking with cultural organizations throughout the city was that they had a serious needs for capital improvements to their facilities in support of those facilities for long-term use. So this would allow for those grants to be rebutted from the ACT CIP allocation. This does not provide new funds. This does not reallocate funds. This allows for the use of existing funds. And moreover, there are changes to specific service city service costs for province art offense in the purpose section of the ordinance. That amendment has been made in reference to the cultural festivals fund, which is now included in ACT's operating budget. They made a request for $50,000 in the fiscal year 2027 budget to allow them to support cultural festivals throughout the city. Offering the opportunity for grants project arts programs specifically, that they are for free and accessible use to especially because of where it's coming from. We will make sure that that is known. Thank you. Yeah, that's um that's a good point, Consul Peterson. Um I mean I would also be interested in you know asking at some point once maybe get a little more uh set up to have a conversation with um the director.
