So uh we have two items on the agenda.

Um Bert, if you would be so prompt to leave those items into the record, and I also acknowledge um our uh policy analyst Brandon also our deputy director of uh policy um and spirit gardener.

Um so item number one, an ordinance transferring 14 Alaska Street to the Providence Redevelopment Agency.

So uh this first item uh to my understanding we're gonna continue this matter, but I would love to um actually um give uh you the door uh sir um director and uh director of real estate nickel chicken telling if you want to spur something that's we'll change your idea to explain to a project like the testimony about the games and truth the whole truth and not publicly I do think it ain't no department company.

I can spoke with councilman royals, these are both in council royal board and the plan was that uh both of these would be advanced today and transferred today.

If you're is your knowledge older than mine or uh that's that's not our understanding here.

So it looks like we're gonna be um continuing this item at the the VS of the council person is work, but we can certainly continue it to eight certain and um we'll move on to the other item as well.

I just wanted to notify you about that.

Um that there's there are three um total items that we want to take up the uh the first item course will keep it that Alaska street.

Um and I think actually he has to the council person in that board they'd like to continue that item and then we'll move on to item number two.

Um his concerns that they wanted uh better term to be more teeth in uh and how this was transferred and so he came up with and the council just came up with a way to do that via ordinance, which is working in front of me now.

So I'm just want to stay for the record on the fuse as to why this we get a call after we had a plan looking forward and care of counseling's yeah, that's uh that's a great question.

So as of this afternoon, uh that was um through um some conversations that we've had with our LC office as well as the the sponsor of this ordinance.

Um they would like it to be continued so we can continue the liberation.

So we'll um take this up on a separate docket in addition to, I think there's uh there was uh so it street.

Um we're looking forward to to hearing that uh so I want to be respectful of the sponsor here.

I can also defer or deputy director of policy, and then we want to speak to this because you guys often have it to sponsor as well.

Um yeah, I think that my information would be you know, some of you are thinking requested that the ordinance be continued today with the consideration of the first question, maybe send that the email to members can say uh uh early to least here.

So we I'm looking forward to finding date certain where we can talk about uh the items that we'll have before us in a future meeting.

So it would be Alaska Street and potentially sofficts street.

Um so we can we can talk about that offline, but we would love to uh ensure that we we get a date on on those items.

But seeing that the the sponsor so there's a motion to continue by counselor peace and seconded by the sponsor grace, all those in favor, all those photos any abstentions.

Item number two resolution transferring 19 Dorothy Avenue to be providence for development agency.

You have uh thank you, Chairman.

You have in front of you uh both profit cards, but I'll point you towards 19 door three street.

Um it is a roughly 28,000 square feet.

Um this was a from all uh indications this was a former city road and uh based on uh some information and opinions from the planning department.

We'd like to uh work to subdivide this to maximize new housing construction.

Uh the councilman uh and sponsors field and asked that the transfer this to the agency and use its possibilities to offer it up to abutters or then requested uh this this move in that way.

That is for this reason that we're using agency for that kind of flexibility.

Just uh to remind the committee, we haven't talked about this in quite some time, but uh there's ample precedent for this uh part of special vacant lot program where uh roughly 425 lines were transferred with very similar language about uh offering up tool bars.

Questions from the community members can you assume yeah, I'm sorry.

I was looking to your um is that all right?

I thought they must have um carry with the required okay.

Um in additional context here, so it's a 20,000 square foot.

It's it's long and rectangular, and if you if you know, based on if you have to be had conversation with planners if they recommend carving up, we might get four lots out of this to keep it uh similarly size with its neighboring lots.

It's currently a long and slender rectangle uh with frontage on three streets.

It sounds like a direct and fire a lot because of the possibility of constructing you here on site.

There's a few different ways to do that.

It would have to be a competitive bid, but they would get the opportunity to bid.

Um, and we'd have to come up with opinions of value as to what that ever should be.

Um, but this is also as discussed with uh with Councilman Royus.

You'll also note that this is handled a little bit differently than the ordinance plan that he's he's working through for the other two odds in his war.

Uh and that's precisely because we want to make sure that we can use the agency's flexibility to give it to a uh that abutter should that uh be a competitive questions from committee members.
