First of all, it is National Police Week, whereas there are more than 800,000 law enforcement officers settling in communities across the United States, including the dedicated members of the County Police Department.

While since the first recorded death in 1786, there are currently more than 25,500 law enforcement officers in the United States that have made the ultimate sacrifice and been called in the line of duty.

Whereas the names of these dedicated public servants are engraved on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., whereas 363 new names of fallen heroes are being added to the National Law Enforcement Officers in Mayor this spring, including 189 officers traveling 2025 and 254 officers traveled in previous years.
