I'm the chairman of the commission.

Um we do have a good agenda tonight.

Uh however, right now we we were aware that we were going to be right on the razor's edge of being able to have a quorum tonight, which requires four planning commissioners.

Uh we have one planning commissioner who is sick, another planning commissioner who just recently had a a baby.

Um we were set to have four planning commissioners tonight.

We have not heard from the other two yet that they will not be here.

So um with your um patience and understanding, we will give them you know 15 minutes or so um to hopefully arrive so that we can move forward with the agenda in the meeting tonight.

If that does not happen, we will have to um push the agenda items that are currently uh slated for tonight's hearing and move them to the next planning commission meeting, which is uh scheduled for the twenty twenty-second um of this month.

I apologize you have all come out on a less than ideal evening that this may end up being the case.

Um but uh again, we haven't heard from the other two commissioners that were slated to be here tonight that they wouldn't be, but um you know things come up and hopefully everything's okay with them and that they will be here.

So uh with your understanding, I appreciate that, and we'll we'll give it some time uh to hopefully be able to go ahead and you know, do the people's business tonight.

Um I am faced with the regrettable circumstance that we are going to have to postpone the agenda items.

Um even though uh Commissioner Matheson is walking in, that still does not give us a quorum.

We require four uh to conduct business.

Um again, I uh I apologize.

Um we will do our best to uh try and understand the miscommunication or what happened this evening to ensure that this type of thing does not happen again, and that if we are going to be uh faced with having to uh cancel or postpone a meeting, that that is done in advance.

Um so again, I on behalf of the commission and staff and the city um I apologize.

Um we will move these items to the next planning commission meeting scheduled for the 22nd of this month.
