So when COVID hit, Governor Newsom created an executive order that would waive some of the Brown Act meeting requirements to encourage social distancing and allow participation via teleconferencing so that we wouldn't all have to gather and we could do everything we could to um promote social distancing.

And so the executive order that Governor Nan Governor Newsom implemented expired at the end of September.

And then AB 361 was passed by the um state assembly.

And so that became effective October 1st, which extended the allowance of teleconference meetings again for those cities that declared an emergency due to COVID, which applies to the city of Sacramento.

And on October 12th, City Council took action to continue to meet via teleconference for city council, all of its subsidiary standing committees, ad hoc committees, and boards and commissions, which active transportation is one of the city's commissions.

So that AB 361 is government code that the city council approved and will continue to meet via teleconference.
