The Ann Land and Bertha Henschel Memorial Funds Commission meeting is now called to order.

The time is 3 59.

We do not have any items on the consent calendar.

So the first um item for discussion is the 2021 grant application template.

Um do we have any members of the public who would like to speak on agenda item one?

Um do we have any commissioners with or would staff uh please present the item.

Uh staff is presenting the 2021 grant guidelines and uh grant application.

The grant application and guidelines are almost exactly the same as the previous year because the commission has not yet formalized the suggested uh changes uh from last year's meeting into code.

Um I believe the city attorney is working on that.

Um but the dates have been updated.

The online application would be available starting tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st, 2020, and open through the month of October to close on the 30th of October at 5 p.m.

Um, also under the section for disqualification, uh, the notice uh for applicant agencies required to have a representative attend the commission meeting.

It is noted that this year's meeting will be held virtually.

Um, and if a grant application has been submitted, and the application point of contact would receive an email invitation to join the virtual meeting.

Um it does still also say that failure to attend would result in disqualification, even if previously funded.

Um, and the only change to the online grant application fields is to uh was to clarify for numbers three and four.

Um it previously stated agency contact and executive contact, but it wasn't always clear that the primary grant contact was only for correspondence and reporting versus an authorized representative, which we needed in order to have a point of contact who was authorized to sign the grant agreement.

Other than that, nothing has been changed.

Um commissioners can use the raise your hand function to um comment if you um click on the participants list.

Uh there your name will pop up and there should be um at the bottom of the screen the button that says raise your hand.

I am hoping to have that available by the next meeting once it is reviewed and approved by the commission as a regulation to be put forth for city council approval.

Uh we can look at calendaring it for city council.
