And the community center theater.

And as most of you probably already know, the the uh memorial auditorium, we just opened that up.

Um and we've we completed the phase one improvements for that, and that was a renovation to prepare for the closure of the theater.

So we're gonna go into a little bit about the the projects right now, and then we'll go into a little bit more details about that.

So why are we doing the C3 project project?

Is um we want to create a downtown district.

We want to continue the momentum and the energy that was created with the Golden One Center to attract tourism.

We want to um, you know, Sacramento is growing, so we want to direct its growth and grow our local economy.

Uh we want to be more competitive.

Uh so the convention center renovations will bring that to us.

Um so um the convention center right now, there's some some flaws in it.

Um the it's we can't rent the whole facility out.

So with the improved new improvements, we'll be able to have more flexibility and allow for stacking of events.

Um we're gonna have two main entries.

We're gonna have one on the east side, which has never been right now.

The current main entrance is on J Street, so we're gonna reroute that, and our um our main entrance will be on K Street.

And so um, and then we're we're gonna have a new entrance on 15th Street.

So we wanna be able to stack events, we want to improve um those access points, you know, in into the building and exiting the building, and we want to create synergy between all three buildings.

So this is uh the new entrance.

Uh this is a new facade look on J Street.

Um this is where our new art piece is gonna be, right here on the this corner of 13th and J.

So there's uh that's the new ballroom on the second floor, and um the the first floor we're going to demolish the west side of the convention center.

And so um I can't point here, but this is the new entrance off of K Street.

Um there's a K Street Plaza with the the new facade there.

So you could see the existing improved the existing convention center has the dome on the east side, and then west side is going to be built with expanding the exhibit halls all on the first floor, and then the new ballroom on the second floor.

And this is a a look of a street view look of the plaza and the what can be done in the plaza.

So we'll have an outdoor space along with the renovation of the two buildings.

We're the courtyard in between on K Street.

In between there, there we're gonna have the bike continue the bike path, and we'll be able to use it for markets and for outdoor events there.

This is the look for the East Lobby on K Street.

Um, as you know, we demolished the Panatoni building in January, and so this is what's going to be built in its place.

And here you can kind of see that white rectangular area that the building is designed to accommodate a future pedestrian bridge up there that would be connected to a future hotel if that ever gets built on on the other side of K Street there on 15th.

So that's kind of what that is.

Um this is the inside of this is the West lobby that's gonna be demoed right now.

If you walk in there, it's it's part of the exhibit space, but this will be um expanded and it'll look it'll have the long windows.

The wall will be turned into will have visibility outside.

There's the exhibit hall space, the ball ballroom on the second floor.

This is the pre pre-function area that's gonna be as you enter the new ballroom on the second floor on the west side.

This is the ballroom.

So the roof here is um the architect designed it just a little bit of tidbit is um to mimic when you fly into Sacramento and you look at the fields, um, all the agriculture, that's kind of what it it represents.

And our theater, our little gem in Sacramento.

So the theater is gonna be another you know, the one of the other buildings that we're renovating.

And what is guiding the the improvements is our accessibility access on this on this project.

The the building was built in 1972, and there's been really no upgrades done to it, and so it's really in need of upgrades.

Um we're going to um the experience we're gonna add in two aisles in the middle of the row, so there'll be a little bit less seating, but it'll be much more comfortable for those attending.

Um we're gonna improve uh performance capabilities.

Um we're gonna you know streamline the operations and functionality of the building and then expanding community.

Hopefully, all of these improvements will expand the community involvement in the arts.

And so we're going to completely transform its appearance.

The inside is going to be gutted out.

We'll have new floors, new paint, new seating, new the magic part of it is the acoustical system, the audio visual and the acoustics.

So when you walk in there, if you've attended an event there in the past, you'll be able to tell a big difference when you come in there and use it and vote both visually and sound wise.

Also for our users, the the folks who you come in and rent the facility.

And so the shows and the that are held there will be a lot better for everybody for both the patrons and the users.

So this is the L Street side looking, and what we're looking at here is the multi-purpose room on my right.

Right now, because right now we negotiated the theater, but this is kind of an option inside the contract.

So we're we're going through and we're negotiating and see if we can build that, at least the cold shell for that multi-purpose theater.

But then we're also going to on L Street, we're expanding the facade on along L Street and 13th Street.

So those walls will come down and they will be completely built.

And there it's going to be kind of an outdoor feeling.
