Um so I just wanted to make a comment.

One of the things that had come up during our last meeting um was uh a little bit about the work that's being done um race and gender equity.

And subsequently, I went in to just take a look at the city's plan, and I was really impressed.

One of the things that came to mind in this particular um consent item, and I just wanted to to find out if this was uh accurate, is um one way to kind of start to mitigate some of the the disparities um in classifications is to look for barriers.

So I just wanted to see is this one in response to um uh the city's race and gender equity action plan, or was this proposed for some other in terms of efficiencies and that sort of thing in terms of the actual change to the classification?

Um, what one of the main reasons that this was removed from the um specification was because it was causing a hurdle with the recruitment, so it was causing a lot of applications to be disqualified, um, creating a very small candidate poll.
