Welcome to our Monday, April 15th, 2024, one o'clock civil service board meeting. The meeting is now called to order. Will the clerk please call the role to establish a quorum? Thank you, Vice Chair. Commissioners, please unmute. Commissioner Emanfor? Here. Commissioner Byrd? Here. Commissioner Gonzalez Cabada. President. Commissioner Stein? Here. And Chair Muela is absent today. We have quorum. All right. I would like to remind at this time. I would like to remind members of the public in chambers that if you would like to speak on an agenda item, please turn in a speaker slip when the item begins. You'll have two minutes to speak once you are called on. After the first speaker, we will no longer accept speaker slips. We'll now proceed with today's agenda. So please rise for the opening acknowledgments in honor of Sacramento's indigenous people and tribal lands. To the original people of the land, the Nissanon people, the Southern Maidu, Valley and Plains Mewalk, Putwin Wintoon peoples, and the people of the Wilton Rancheria, Sacramento's only federally recognized tribe. May we acknowledge and honor the Native people who came before us and still walk beside us today on these ancestral lands by choosing a gather together today in the active practice of acknowledgement and appreciation for Sacramento's indigenous peoples. Thank you. Please remain standing for the Pledge of Allegiance. One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Our first business today is the approval of the consent calendar. Clerk, are there any members of the public who wish to speak to the on the consent calendar? Thank you, Vice Chair. There are no speakers for this item. Thank you. Are there any members who wish to speak on this item? Yes. Board member bird. Um I was just wondering, this is the minutes, right? Um in the minutes it says that no report out was given from our closed session, and I believe that there should have been something at least a notation that we um voted to not reconsider the matter at hand. Um was the am I missing something? Um the clerk's office completed the minutes with the um attorney's office's direction. Um however, our new attorney might be able to provide some insight on why there was um what is no report out for an item where there was no action taken. But um maybe that's why it just it wasn't reported if there was no action taken. Maybe that's policy of uh course office in our office. But I haven't but I haven't been involved in that issue, so I don't know exactly. If you want, we can continue approval of the minutes to the next meeting and I can investigate and get back to you. I mean, I'm fairly neutral about it, except to the extent that I thought because it was agendized as an action that we were going to reconsider, and then we I mean we kind of did take action by virtue of saying we're not gonna reconsider, so I didn't know if that should be recorded somehow. But um, you know, it I'm not an expert in the process and the procedures, so if it's unnecessary, that's fine.
