- Fire Department Classifications: Updated Fire Engineer, Fire Captain, Fire Prevention Officer Trainee, Fire Prevention Officer I, and Fire Prevention Officer II specifications to include both fire science and fire technology certificates, with minor equity language edits to the Fire Captain specification.

Recruitment Disqualification Appeals
The Board heard four appeals from candidates disqualified from various city recruitment processes. In each case, the appellant did not appear at the hearing despite being notified:
- Brandon Caston (Equipment Mechanic I) - Notified January 25th, did not attend
- Christopher Meyer (Accounting Technician) - Notified, did not attend
- Craig Warriner (Supervising Building Inspector) - Notified, did not attend
- Elijah Kryvoshey (Police Records Specialist I) - Notified January 21st, did not attend
For each appeal, the Board voted unanimously to waive formal hearing rules pursuant to Civil Service Board Rule 4.11(c)(7) and adopted the Director's findings, determinations, and decisions of disqualification pursuant to Civil Service Board Rule 4.11(c)(6).

You will have two minutes to speak once you are called on. After the first speaker, we will no longer accept speaker slips. We will now proceed with today's agenda. Please rise for the opening acknowledgments in honor of Sacramento's indigenous people and tribal lands. To the original people of this land, the Nisenan people, the Southern Maidu, Valley and Plains Miwok, Putwin, Wintoon peoples, and the people of the Wilton Rancheria, Sacramento's only federally recognized tribe, may we acknowledge and honor the native people who came before us and still walk beside us today on these ancestral lands by choosing to gather together today in the active practice of acknowledgement and appreciation for Sacramento's indigenous people's history, contributions, and lives.
