Um first I'll start with our usual disclosure.

Public meetings are currently teleconference meetings only to align with local and federal guidelines and social distancing recommendations for the containment of the coronavirus.

For staff, commissioners, and those logged into the meeting.

Please remember to keep your microphones muted when you are not speaking.

We will be monitor monitoring the raise hand feature in Zoom for commissioner comments.

For members of the public that are tuning in, you are encouraged to submit public comment by using e-comment on the online agenda page.

If you would like to speak on an agenda item, raise your hand when it begins.

When the item begins, the raise hand feature will be disabled once the presentation has been completed.

For items without a presentation, presentation completion will be considered when the chair finishes introducing the item.

If you wish to speak on a subsequent item, you will need to raise your hand when that item begins.

You will have two minutes per item to address the legislative body and may speak on up to four items.

All righty, let's get started with the agenda first.

Uh we have the chair's update.

So I do have a just a couple of things.

Uh first, I wanted to absolutely make sure that commissioners were aware of the Sacramento City audit on the police commission that has been finalized and made available.

Um, and I believe we've made mention of this a couple of times for but for anyone, any commissioner that doesn't have a copy of the of that audit and would like a copy.

Um, you know, I suggest to you can go ahead and email me directly or ask um Dawood uh if he can send you that audit.

But happy to get that to you.

It's I think important that all commissioners review that.

Uh the second item that I just wanted to bring up in case commissioners were not aware, is that we have a new uh incoming chief of police, former Deputy Chief Luster, um uh has been promoted.

So congratulations to her.

She's been um very good working with her um this past year uh through the committee pro through the um committee process and uh excited uh to work with continue to work with her.

Third item, uh Commissioner Castillo and myself, along with uh council member Gera and the mayor's office.

Um we've been working on creating a uh process uh by which the city council will uh take up our recommendations, and so I just wanted to make sure folks were aware of that, and um that will probably uh be come to some kind of resolution in January.

And so I just wanted to you know share that with folks that uh that work continues to happen.

All right, so that is my update.

Uh yes, there are some uh report backs on some items uh uh for the commission.

And uh by the way, I'm uh Captain Rudy Channa be filling in tonight for uh Lieutenant Galliano, who's uh out of town and unavailable.

Uh so uh go ahead and get into those items.

I know there was a I think it's uh item three on the disc on the uh discussion calendar, but crowded riot ad hoc questions.

Um we would like to tell the commission that SPD is in the process of an executive level review of the questions presented by the ad hoc to SAC PD.
