Uh member who must have a demonstrated history of community involved, interest in fostering the arts, innovation, or tourism of the city, have past or current experience as an educator, supporter, advocate, administrator, curator, historian, or critic of the arts, and is between the ages of 16 and 22 years old at the time of appointment.

Hello, my name is Rosa Maria O'Dollschool, and I am answering some questions today why I think I should be a part of this commission board.

First question being, why are you interested in serving on this board commission?

I have been born and raised in Sacramento, so I've spent most of my time immersed in its culture and creativity.

Um ever since I was in elementary school and middle school, I've been super inclined towards theater arts.

But as I've gotten older into high school, I found myself interested in a government or city position to promote what I love.

I love local theater art and commissions for that art.

I love theater, and I love that in Sacramento.

I have my love for Sacramento like intertwined with my love for theater.

And through these programs, I have learned a lot about what to expect from Sacramento.

And I think that my programs outside of theater, um, such as working at bookstores and fairy tale town give me a lot of youthful um insight onto this board.

Personnel and Public Employees Committee Meeting – August 12, 2025
