The Sacramento Preservation Commission held a special meeting on September 20, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. at the New City Hall, 915 I Street Council Chambers. The meeting, which adjourned at 8:18 p.m., focused on updates regarding the City Cemetery preservation efforts, the adoption of infill development principles for historic districts, reviews of strategic plans, and various committee reports. All commission members were present except Commissioner Fuller.

The September 20th, 2017 meeting of the Sacramento City's Preservation Commission is called to order. Before we start, I'll review procedures. Copies of the agenda for tonight's meeting are on the kiosk just outside the main door. The commission will refer to each item according to the order provided on the agenda. And there are no changes to the agenda at this time. Each item and the agenda will begin with a brief presentation by staff, followed by questions of staff by the commission. Presentation by the applicant if there is a project with an applicant, followed by questions of the applicant by the commission, and then opportunity for public comments. Speaker forms for members of the public are on the table at the back of the room. If you would like to speak, please fill out a form. Note the agenda item number on which you'd like to speak and bring it to the clerk to the left of the dais. You will be called to speak at the appropriate time. There is a three-minute limit to public comments. Members of the audience may also address the commission on items not on the agenda. And that is item number eight on our agenda. So if you have an item that you would like to speak about that is not on our agenda for tonight, you may address the commission under agenda item number eight. And at this time, I'll ask that uh you please turn off all cell phones and other noise-making devices. And uh we'll now proceed with the agenda. Roll call, please. Commissioner Abrahams. Commissioner Bounds. Commissioner Fuller. Commissioner Moffitt. Here. Commissioner Volania. Commissioner Whitelum. Here. And Chair Marshak. Here, our first item on the agenda is uh consent calendar, approval of minutes of the August 16, 2017 meeting. Do we have any discussion corrections? There we go. Commissioner Whitelam. Okay. Um under item two on the action. I I think we're it was the item on the appeal of 2422 U Street tentative map. On the action, I think the last sentence the clause that says thereby denying the appeal. I think it should be placed right after it says approve the project thereby denying the appeal, comma, subject to an advisory condition to work with staff to secure the property site. Right now, those two pieces are kind of put in reverse, and I think the sentence reads clearer doing that. So it's not changing the words, it's just like the order with the clause. That's my only comment. Okay. Any other commissioners with comments, corrections, additions. All right. In that case, uh, do I have a motion? I move to accept the minutes as amended. Move by Commissioner Whitelam. Second. Second. Seconded by Commissioner Abrahams. Uh, I'm gonna recuse myself because I did not participate in that meeting of the Commission. A voice vote, please.
