The January eighteenth, twenty nineteen meeting of the City of Sacramento's Preservation Commission is called to order.

Copies of the agenda for tonight's meeting are in the kiosk outside the door.

The commission will refer to each item according to the order provided on the agenda.

And there are no changes to the agenda with the exception of continuing item number four until we have a date for that.

We have a date.

February 20th.

That'd be our next meeting.

And this is at staff's initiative rather than the applicant's initiative.

Very good.

We do not have any public hearings then in um in this particular agenda.

Everything is review and comment.

And so the uh the procedures will be there'll be a presentation by staff, um, uh followed by uh questions of staff by the commission, then public comment, then um the commission will deliberate on those items after the public comments.

So speaker forms for members of the public are on the table at the back of the room.

And if you'd like to speak on a particular item, please fill out the form, note the agenda item number on which you'd like to speak, and bring it to the clerk to the left of the dais.

You'll be called to speak at the appropriate time.

Uh we normally have a three minute limit on public comments, but if there aren't too many commenters, we may allow a little bit more time.

Members of the audience uh may also address the commission on items not on the agenda.

Um, and that comes up as item number three on your agenda.

Uh public comments matters not on the agenda.

So if you have an item you'd like to talk about that isn't agendized today, feel free to fill out a speaker form and we'll we'll hear you uh for in item three.

Well, our first item is something we've waited for for a while, and uh I'm pleased to uh to welcome new commissioner member Bill Carter, who's at the end of the dais here.

Our contractor member.

We've really been needing that kind of expertise, and thank you very much for stepping up and and uh going through the process to get on the commission.

Welcome.

I'm glad to hear you want to say anything about your background.

You don't have to go into that kind of detail.

I don't think your microphone is.

I don't know.

For 45 years.

I've been um in the National Association of the Remodeling Industry for 25 years on the national board.

Uh I've worked on a lot of the old homes downtown, so we've got a lot of experience in this area.

And um I currently sit on the board of directors for the Society for the Blind, which is located on uh 13th and Q or 13th and S.

And um I'm just glad to be here and uh willing to learn and let's hit it.

Uh do we have any comments or corrections on those minutes from commissioners?

Chair Marshak, I want to just insert that the actual conditions of approval that you recommended did not get into the minutes, but they were captured by staff.

And that can be I can outline that for you if that's your request.
