Meeting Transcript
Everyone. Can we please call the role? Foley. Candelas. Duan. Mulkehi. Ortiz. Cohen. Tordillos. Campos. Come. Mayor Mehan. Here. Thank you. Thank you. Do we have public comment? Let me check. Excuse me, Stephen. Do we have public comment? Go ahead. You're welcome to, sir. Okay. Good afternoon, Council. My name's Ted Scarlet. And since this is about the auditor, I will speak of that. And I some about the independent police auditor, sir. Correct. Yeah. And um, I've been trying to talk to you for over a year. I need to get your attention, Matt. And I remember I was at the dinner, and I asked after you got elected that we at least have a short meeting. But anyway, we need to do more with the auditor. Uh my past experience uh years ago was that it just basically felt like a way to uh fade things that had happened and you didn't any get you didn't get any real uh results. Um when you went to the auditor's office. Frankly, my experience, I wouldn't even bother going there. I'd just go to a lawyer and file a lawsuit at this point because um and let me tell you that's this is gonna sound a little nutty afterward. I support the police. I would never even want to be a police officer today. It's too dangerous, and um there's too many people out there that don't support the police, and it's harder than ever for them when they go into a situation to know if they're con if they're coming up on friend or foe. So with but with that said, the auditor's office. I past auditors, not not the current person. It it was not a good situation. And thank you for letting me make the comments. Back to counseling. Thank you. Uh thanks for public comment or we are going to adjourn to closed session. Thank you. Thank you. I don't have any readout from closed session, but just wanted to adjourn unless there's anything else you need from me. Okay.
