Welcome to the May sixth special attorney client session city commission meeting.

Uh next we will have the invocation by the clerk and uh city auditor and clerk, put followed by the pledge of allegiance by the vice mayor.

Um Heavenly Father, we affirm our faith in thee.

We seek your divine strength, wisdom, and guidance in the deliberations that affect the lives of each of the citizens of our community.

It's a special closed meeting of the city commission for the purpose of discussing settlement negotiations and strategy related to the litigation expenditures in the matter of Rose M.

Salam and Carl E.

Jackson versus the City of Sarasota case number two oh two four CA zero zero two six eight two in the circuit court for the twelfth judicial circuit in and for Sarasota County Civil Division.

And I will call upon City Attorney Paul Zach to explain the attorney client session process.

So I'm uh recessing this session uh three oh three, and we are going to convene in room one oh nine.

We are back in open session, and the time is three fifty-nine PM.

And I'll call upon City Attorney Paul Zack to make comments covering the closed attorney client session.

No votes were taken during the open or during the closed session.

I will also note I failed to mention at the outset that a court reporter was one of the other people present in addition to who I mentioned at the beginning.
