The Sheridan City Council met on December 15, 2025, for a regular meeting that included a community update from the Chamber of Commerce, a staff update on budget revision, and a public hearing on the final plat of the Bucking Iron Business Park. The council also approved the consent calendar and employee handbook updates, and tabled the Bucking Iron plat to the next meeting.
Before we begin, I need to make an announcement. Our city attorney had a bouncing baby boy and nice, healthy, and congratulations. Can we stand for the pledge, please? And number two for all. Now we will have our invocation, and it's going to be given to us by Cheryl Finley of the Family Life Church. Thank you, Cheryl, for being here. Thank you, Mayor. And I would like to start out with a quote from Benjamin Franklin in a letter from 1789. And it says in this world, nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes. And I would like to address you and tell you there's another certain thing. And it's the power of the Lord. And in John 3 15, it says that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him. So eternity does not start when we pass away. Dear Heavenly Father, we just come before you with Thanksgiving. And Lord, I thank you so much for this city council and the people of this beautiful town. And I thank you, God, that you can bring wisdom and understanding and knowledge to the leaders of Sheridan. And that you are always at work, whether we see it or not. And you are always guiding and leading us into unity and to into truth. And we just praise you for the people, this leadership today, that we can be confident and certain that they are going to do what's right and truthful for this beautiful city of Sheridan, Wyoming. In Jesus' name. Thank you so much. Ashley, roll call members, please. Councilmember Lumen. Present. Councilmember Bramps. Present. Councilmember Wood? Councilmember Lightham. Present. Councilmember Whitesell is absent. Councilmember Patzig? Here. Mayor Bridger. Here. Thank you. I now uh take an approval of the agenda, please. I would approve the agenda as presented. Okay, second. Second. Further discussion. Hearing none, all those in favor signify by saying aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed. Motion passes. Now move on to community update. On our community update tonight is from the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce. And with us is Teresa Dedmore, Chief Executive Office Officer and Aaron Sotko, the board president. Welcome both of you. Thank you for coming.
