Can we stand for the pledge, please? To the flag of the United States for America and to the Republic or which is one nation individual with this world. Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the regular council session on August 17th. It's 5 30. We'll go ahead and get started. First, we'll have our invitation, which is to be given by Gary Copp, so welcome Gary. Mr. Mayor and Council and Chief of Police. It's a blessing to be here and to be asked. I'm going to take 38 seconds to share something I was reading this morning. I was glad when they said to me, let's go to the house of the Lord. Our feet are standing within your gates, oh Jerusalem. I was thinking about the term Jerusalem, the last part of that saloon, peace. Jerusalem. That is built. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May peace be within your walls. I will now say may peace be within you. And I thought of Sheridan Saloon. There are no elections going on. And there's nothing that uh would be distressing or or rob us of peace except a thousand things. So my prayer today is that we will we will work with integrity and uh that we will experience the uh salom the the peace that that God can give. So pray with me. Almighty God, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, I thank you for these men and women. I thank you for the community that over the years that I've lived here and the decades that preceded that you uh built a place of peace, not perfection, but I just pray that we will seek your face in our decision making, in our competit competition, in our alignment with ideas and with platforms and with uh legislation and with policies that would align with your peace, I pray. Um we aren't all wired the same. Thank goodness for that. Uh but we all can be used by you, and that's my prayer tonight in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you very much. Ashley, if you'd be so kind. Councilmember Lumen. Present. Councilmember Brantz? Present. Councilmember Wood? Councilmember Lightnum? Present. Councilmember Whitzel. Absolutely. Councilmember Patzig? Here. And Mayor Britcher. Present. Thank you, Ashley. I now make a motion or take a motion to uh approve the agenda as presented. Some motion to have a second. Second. Uh motion and a second. Any discussion on the agenda.
