- Medical Staff Report: Dr. Morales reported that the MEC met on December 16, reviewed standard reports, and approved a step-down Ivy Infusion SOP.
- Credential Review: The board approved the recommendation to credential 8 physicians, 4 advanced practice providers (APPs), 6 resignations, 3 provisional reviews, and 29 reappointments.
- Quality and Patient Experience Report: Mr. Fuselag reported no inpatient events over the past five years. All patient experience scores met goals: inpatient NPS 69, medical practice NPS 89, telemed NPS 84, outpatient NPS 94 (exceeding top decile), EV NPS 74 (exceeding top decile), ambulatory surgery NPS 92 (exceeding top decile). Population health metrics were green except for diabetic eye exam and blood pressure control at the Luling Clinic, where processes are being improved. The hospital now cares for nearly 22,000 unique patients, a 17.5% increase over last year.
- Financial Report: Ms. Barnett reported November volumes: 641 infusion treatments (17% above budget, 23% year-to-date increase), 546 ambulance runs (above budget, 1% year-to-date increase). Total operating revenue exceeded budget by 9% due to an $800,000 unbudgeted MCIP program revenue. Income from operations exceeded budget by $1 million.
- Introduction of Dr. Eric West: Dr. West joined as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Medical Director of Psychiatry Services, noting the positive team and excitement for 2026.
- Dreamweaver Story: An employee arranged a fishing trip for a patient with cancer and an amputation, demonstrating exceptional compassion.
- Hospital Updates: Behavioral health intensive outpatient program on track for April opening; kitchen renovations completed; second-floor med-surg renovations completed; new beds ordered; new ambulance received, second due in late January/early February; new providers: Dr. Bartholomew (primary care, starting April), Alexis Willis (NP oncology); service awards in December recognized 45 employees, including one with 45 years of service (Renee Stevenson); Valero donated a $100,000 grant to support pediatric programs, including a pediatric mannequin and training.

Um, let the record state that Mr. Timmy Viao and Miss Karen Raymond and myself, Pamela Smith are present. This is a public hearing. Um, for to start us off, I'd like to do a little special recognition of our employee of the month. So I'd like to ask Ms. Renee to come up front and um, so um special uh for November and our employee of the month, um Rishan Renee was selected. Um, I have the opportunity to to I don't say work with you, um serve alongside with you, but one of the things that I have noticed is that uh your dedication to your patients is constant. Um that I know talking with all of the team members that work with you say how focused you are on your patients and how much you care about them. So um I know uh you want to tell a little of a story about the nomination, but uh I just want to say thank you for everything that you do for um the patients that you take care of are special and need somebody special to take care of them and I really appreciate everything that you do for them. Go ahead. All right, I'll just do I wrote just a little something. So Renee has been at St. Charles for seven years, and she has been a steady source of compassion, skill, and hope for our patients and team on the behavioral health unit. She brings exceptional empathy to even the most complex cases, building trust with patients, making them feel genuinely cared for. Renee demonstrates her dedication for growth and excellence as she actively is working towards her independent clinical licensure. As a colleague, Renee is equally remarkable, supportive, dependable, and always willing to step in when the team needs her. She mentors new staff, shares her knowledge generously, and takes on extra responsibilities with grace and humility. Renee truly embodies the Oshner values and makes our department better every day, and she is deeply deserving of this recognition as employee of the month for November. Congratulations. I'd like to just say thank you to Allegra for the nomination. She's uh been a great supervisor and mentor for me as well as the rest of my co-workers. I don't think I would be up here without working with a great team. So thank y'all. Thank you. And I can say that I personally have had the experience of working clinically side by side with Renee, and it was phenomenal. So second, I'd like to ask Miss uh Ori to come up front. Okay. And uh Ori was selected as our leader of the quarter for Q3 2025. Umri's done an amazing job uh since the day she stepped on the unit and has also been filling in some shoes here lately with uh Robbie taking on a new role, but um I know Jared wanna had some things he wanted to say. So Ori had a uh available book written the nominated on the just really everything that Ori does really just really need to be a fruit leader um and her unwavering positive attitudes who smile she has that she breaks it every day, but uh she rounds on our patients every day to make sure that they're getting wonderful care. She rounds on her staff uh make sure that her staff's doing well. Um she's willing to jump in and help us at least just last week. We were really busy before you can jump in with a couple of patients and state lady on our shoulders to make sure that uh patients were taken care of, and that's what we could say.
