  • C. Console Cleaning Service: Approved a one-time intensive preventative maintenance and detailed cleaning service on all 14 consoles in the Communications Center by Console Cleaning Specialists, Inc. Motion by Chief Board, seconded by Chief Heath; passed unanimously.

Discussion & Announcements

  • A member raised concerns about hurricane preparation supplies and radio communication, referencing issues after Hurricane Ida. The 9-1-1 Director confirmed a 700 MHz backup radio system is now in place (not available during Ida). Regarding additional portable radios for EMS, the director stated that IT maintains a cache of radios for hurricanes and should be contacted for access. One EMS representative noted that their radios were recently reprogrammed and lack analog capability; the director agreed to follow up on the matter.
  • No further business was raised. A motion to adjourn was made and carried at 5:12 PM.
