Um each speaker will have uh two minutes to speak, um, and it may only be on the item that is on the special uh agenda.

So who is our first speaker?

Good morning.

I want to speak today about something that deserves our attention.

We have seen significant turnover and uncertainty involving some very important positions at City Hall.

We now understand that City Clerk Catherine Rowland has not resigned.

Allegedly, I don't know.

She remains employed.

We'll see.

The city is now considering appointing someone to perform those duties.

We have also recently lost, found out yesterday, assistant city attorney Terren Jones, who served as Stockton's acting city um attorney, and we now have an interim city attorney.

These are not minor positions.

The city clerk's office is fundamental to elections, public records, council proceedings, official documents, and public confidence in our government.

The city's attorney's office provides legal guidance to the council city staff.

It helps ensure that our decisions comply with the law and protects taxpayers from unnecessary legal and financial exposures.

So I believe it is reasonable to ask what is happening in our city.

I understand that personal matters are confidential, and I respect that.

These aren't personal questions, these are taxpayer questions.

When experienced employees leave or become unavailable, we lose more than employees.

We lose city knowledge, experience, relationships, and years of understanding of how our city operates.

So I'm asking today for transparency, accountability, and stability.

We need city a city hall where qualified professionals want to work, where employees are treated professionally, where proper procedures are followed, and where taxpayers can trust how their money is being used.

Stockton is too many challenges to be distracted by this chaos within City Hall.

We deserve better.

Today is the beginning of a new day.

And uh God's timing is the right timing.

Now I will I am I am in support of whatever change our capable mayor is going to do because you know it's been a lot of people has been praying, and this is the new beginning.

And I'm glad that God is sparing me to file a complaint against the former role, the the seat the city clerk because regardless of who I am, people need to be not misled, and they need to be about report reproach and offer the service because you know what?

I I strongly believe that I was misled on an inquiry that I wanted to open, and the case is not over.
