The Stockton Planning Commission met on December 12, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 6:07 PM at 425 N. El Dorado St. The Commission approved consent items, denied an upgrade for alcohol sales at a convenience store, and approved a variance for an 80-foot flagpole. Commissioner Esperanza Vielma received congratulations on her new role.

Staff noted unique circumstances: proximity to the elevated Crosstown Freeway (State Route4),65-foot transmission poles, and an existing120-foot radio tower on site. The applicant (Shane Ramiro and Craig Stevens) emphasized the flagpole would display the American flag and honor veterans. The Commission voted7-0 to approve the variance (Resolution2024-12-12-0501), finding it categorically exempt from CEQA.

President. We have a quorum. Thank you. And I would ask Commissioner Jones if you can lead us in the flag salute, please. All right. Um we'll move on to item to consent items, adoption of the consent items. Uh we do have um four items on the consent calendar, but we are going to pull off item three point four um on the consent calendar. And I did ask um I believe that Commissioner Mallet was not present for one of the meetings. I did watch the video from excellent. Okay. So I've been told um if everyone's read through those items, items three point one, three point two, and three point three that I could get a motion to approve all three items. And um in a second. Yes. Move the motion to approve three point one, three point two, three point three consent items. Excellent. Can I get a second, please? All second. Thank you. We're not working. Motion passes seven zero. Excellent. Okay. So moving right along to item number four. Um, yes. Oh, sorry, moving on to item three point four, um, which is uh approval of a resolution reflecting the planning commission's October 24th, 2024 intent to deny a use permit to upgrade from the off-sale beer and wine to off-sale of general alcohol beverages in a future convenience store at Fort 4607 South Airport way. That's P23-0305, APN number one seven seven four six zero two four. Correct, and we do have public comment on this item, Chair. Okay. I would ask for public comment, please, at this time.
