All right, good evening, everyone. I like to call this regular City Council meeting to order Tuesday, May nineteenth. Today we have uh Jared Lasky leading us in the invocation, sir, if you don't mind. Precious Heavenly Father, may your presence be upon us tonight, and upon your counsel and upon this city. May your grace and wisdom saturate this place and your holy spirit guide us as a community. Councilman Haney. Councilman Hastings. Councilman Chad. Thank you, Mayor. Yeah, for him. So tonight we have our US our newest youth council members, so they're gonna swear in. But before they do that, if they could lead us in the pledge, please all join us. Thank you. Last there was like three or four of them, but tonight we have two amazing things to celebrate in our city. One is the Valley Vista monsoon uh 2026 6A Girls State Championship. If you could come up here, please. So as they're as they're making their way up, there's a couple notes that I have to read. That's they are the most winning ladies' basketball program in the entire state. They've had seven out of the last 10 years, they've won the state championship. That is some incredible work. So the the coach would like to speak, but I wanted to give you one of my mayor challenge coins. It's on here it says deeds not words. It's exactly what you all live by. I appreciate all your hard work and effort. Thank you, Mayor. What you're doing. Absolutely. The floor is yours. Thank you. Um, thank you, Mayor, for having us here tonight on behalf of Dysart Unified School District and Valley Vista uh High School, the girls' basketball team, myself, my coaches, my athletic director are here to just say thank you for allowing this time to recognize us. Um these athletes work extremely hard. Um, I try my best to hold them accountable and just set them up for future success. I know these young women are become are going to become CEOs one day. They're gonna have their own families, they're gonna be great mothers. So just to be a part of this, to be a part of surprise and to represent this community means so much, and we just really appreciate the recognition. And I am extremely proud of my team and my coaches. Without them, I wouldn't be standing here, and I'm just super grateful. So thank you for everything, and thank you, Mayor. Do you have one stand up for? Yeah, okay. Thank you. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. All right, so we got another uh winner of it's the robotics, the launch team robotics, and I'm gonna have them come and talk about it. But it's uh a local uh robotics team. If you guys want to come up while I'm saying a couple of words, um they won a state champ uh championship impact award. So out of they were selected over 3700 teams, they were selected for this award. And so it goes, it speaks to their uh it's incredible work, all their effort and time. So I'll uh I'll let you say a few words. Congratulations.
