The Tacoma City Council met on December 3, 2024, at 5:00 PM. The meeting included a consent agenda, public comments, appointments, resolutions, final readings of ordinances, first readings of the biennial budget, and a public hearing on Title 13 amendments. After a recess, the council convened as the Transportation Benefit District (TBD) Governing Board to consider renewing the sales tax and approving the TBD budget. So we'll now move on to public comment. At tonight's agenda, there are three opportunities for people to comment. Under the public hearing, you could speak about the proposed amendments to Title 13 of the NISTL Code related to the permitting levels of service and public notice. Under community forum, which is held at the end of the meeting, you could speak about items over which the city council has jurisdiction. As a reminder, we will also have a transportation benefit district governing board special meeting tonight, which includes its own public comment period. These forums are intended to give speakers the opportunity to share their viewpoints and feedback with the city council to aid in our decision making and is not meant to be a back and forth dialogue.
