This is the old River Hill apartment project.

Oh and in the negotiations and acquiring easements for the Jack Warner Parkway project.

Um the city negotiated with that owner in exchange for giving us the easements that we would install a fire line to the building.

Uh so that day has come.

And the uh it's uh minor public works contract with civil works construction, they'll environ install a fire line extension, the appurtenances that go on along along with that.

Uh the work actually happens on uh on the Greensboro Avenue side of the property.

Uh you the second image in your packet there, you'll see the area highlighted in yellow.

That is where we got temporary easements and permanent easements for the roadway project.

Then the area clouded in red is the location of the water line improvements that uh civil works will be performing on behalf of the city.

And the second page is just a little enlarged view of that work component.

Uh this is funded out of our uh Jack Warner Parkway project, and we're still under budget.

That's good.

So Mike, I got a little confused.

We're putting in 42 grand of pipe in exchange for an easement.

So the easement uh I thought I read in your note that it was on Skyland.

Uh the design is complete, so now we're moving forward with getting the easements.

So that's what this amendment will question.

So this is funded by our security enhancements budget.

Uh what we're doing over here in municipal court is modifying the corridors to create a secure back corridor space, which is not uh an area of the building that is uh that needs to be accessed by the public.

We are installing a set of double doors right here that will be on access control.

This wall right here and this door right here is existing.

This wall is also existing.

We are extending this wall right here, adding this door here, changing this door swing to this direction, adding access control on courtroom B.

What we're wanting to do is to allow normal flow in back here to the cashier's window, and they will normally exit out the same way they came in.

This door will be marked for emergency egress only, allowing an event of emergency, allowing occupants to egress this way and back out, uh, which is the reason for having this door added and this door will be on access control.

What caused us to think this needed to be done?

So this was this came to me from both court as well as MSU.

Um Jessica, do you have anything you want to kind of add to that?

I I know that there were some wanderers back in this area or have them.

I'm a lot shorter than Tim, but I'm gonna try.

So when they come in through court and they come back here to pay or go into the courtroom, there is an open hallway towards the back that is just private offices for staff, but is not monitored as closely because of the blind spots.

So this will make it to where the public's access is limited to where the public needs to be needs to be.

So the court referral courtroom pavement windows.

Makes sense, and to the left there.

So this two hallways actually connect.

It's like a U-shape around the cashier window, and there's five offices in the back.

This will close off access to the hallway from that way.
