These events, um town entertainment will arrive there at 10 until um so we have a total of 15 events.

I want to say the one thing I do want to say uh to the to the mayor and this council uh how much appreciate all of us uh all of us give to our city schools in a variety of ways, and um three things I want to point out.

Um Paul Bryant had uh a guy that just won double state championships and shot put and discus.

Um good buddy Demario Pippen has finally beat Hueytown and made it to the playoffs and North Northridge just got the U.S.

News and World Report, the 25th best high school in the state of Alabama, uh the number one high school in Tuscaloosa County, um, and the number one high school in all West Alabama, but that's I think they went from 47th a year ago to 25th, and that's a and that it's interesting.

They one of the criteria is how many students are involved in extracurricular activities, as well as you know, part academics, and it's just a whole thing.

And I had two Northridge kids on today on my show, and they've started a literacy club, more or less.

They go into the junior high middle schools and elementary and teach kids, younger kids about literacy and uh the importance of saving money and having accounts, and I thought that was really pretty special.

And I said that I mentioned that's what Joe Joe has done with his basketball team too.

So um, I think that's a that's a huge honor.

Uh Tuscaloosa City School has not been ranked that high in many years.

And so they all three have some things to be really proud of.

Um and I just think it's great how much each one of us give to the schools.

Well, of course, Norman's a county high guy there.

Oh, yeah.

I I will go on the record and say they are bad.

I'm gonna say our bad county high and Paul Bryant both 0 and 9, and they play Friday night.

years and so they all three have some things to be really proud of the and and I just think it's great how much each one of us give to the schools like it has well of course Norman's a county high guy in there in 09 is completely I I will go on the record and say they are bad county high and Paul Bryant they're both 0-9 and they play Friday night I will say this Sunday I'll county house football stadium the Eli Soccer game was there in pouring rain and that Bill drain there's their athletic facilities at TCS is better than anything we have in our city schools and I think the county have a lot of money as much as as much as a central guy cannot stand a little guys it was an impressive facility very impressive you'd be surprised too um uh Brookwood has gotten you know the most incredible new football field and they went huge jumbotron at Brookwood football stadium it's better than anything that I've seen and now you're saying the county but here's the good news in city schools 52% of uh middle schoolers and and high school students participate in athletics that's pretty high yes I I know they're looking at many things but I hope they'll continue to focus on athletics as well because that does drive people into your school does absolutely um you know it's central is fantastic you know just imagine if you have some you know more resources and you know I'll still say nor Norman is like our DEI of the city because we got three central guys that was against the law we got to say we got three three central guys and we got three Tuscosa high guys and Norman's County high so the comedy act that happens here it's good.

Hey I will say this though I have to take up from a Hall of Modern one thing this year may be terrible they will be back.

I don't know when but they'll be back they will be back.

They've had a terrible I may not we've none of us may be here they will right now they will be back the last 21 games because they're the the smallest 7A school that's probably and they also lost their they lost their football coach I think there's been a lot of changes they lost several and it all being excuse for Hillcrest and sudden they'd done they won six games in it but it also doesn't help that Sipsi Valley was in there because County Hall was a powerhouse again when everybody kind of like the what Central was when everybody was going to one high school yeah you know but it's they'll be bad they would have something to fill up that high school or real nice that'll be bad well their baseball team did win the session they did.

So there's something right going on there so y'all saw that smile taking your shot I had them all I had them all on my show and phone pizza yeah all the county high boys any any more shots you want to take early no I'm just no I just I was going to invite you over to a football game I make a motion I make a motion I represent the city and the county I think DEI was outlawed wasn't it why why was he bringing that up you love it definitely no it is that's good it is good he's at D EI.
