0:18If everyone would please stand, the Tusley City Council has now come to order.
0:21We're going to begin tonight's meeting with a prayer, followed by our pledge of allegiance.
0:27Dear God, bless our proceedings tonight.
0:29Give us the wisdom to know what is just and the strength to do what is right.
0:34I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States from there.
0:38And to the Republic for which it stands.
0:41One nation under God.
0:43Individual with liberty and justice broad.
0:47Approval of the minutes.
0:48I will make the motion.
0:49We approve the minutes.
0:51The move and second that we approve the minutes voting, Mr.
0:58Meeting stand approved.
1:00Um proclamation statements by Mayor and Council.
1:03Any council statements tonight?
1:06Just in case I will be at Jack's Saturday morning, Mayor.
1:15Any agenda item comments by Susan?
1:18We have no unfinished business, and we have quite the consent agenda, clerk.
1:22This approves items A through Y on the consent agenda.
1:33Consent agenda is adopted.
1:35Public hearings, clerk.
1:36This authorizes zoning amendment number 25.
1:40It's been moved and second.
1:44Good evening, Mayor and Council.
1:46So I'm going to present uh this one and the next rezoning at the same time.
1:51Um, but obviously it's going to be two different votes.
1:54So the first one here is being requested to go from GC to M FR, and this is in Council District 3.
2:01So here's the location of both of these two rezonings.
2:04This is on the corner.
2:05Uh basically new McWright's Ferry Road, uh, close to Lexington Down.
2:12And you can see on the left and the right, these are the two rezoning requests.
2:16So they are essentially on the right hand side.
2:21They want that little portion there to go to GC and then vice versa on the left hand side.
2:27The request is to reconfigure the lot boundaries to align with the revised site plan.
2:31So as part of this kind of development as a whole between two developers, um, they kind of worked out an agreement and they've come to a conclusion that this is uh the route that they want to go, and so in order to do that, they do need to adjust the zoning districts slightly in order to meet that.
2:51It does conform to framework, framework identifies this on the future land you care land use map um as limited commercial and traditional neighborhood edge.
2:59So both the rezoning request and the intended use meet that um the uh planning and zoning commission at their December 25 meeting.
3:09Um both recommended both of these rezonings, and I can answer any questions that y'all might have.
3:17Any questions for Mr.
3:21Is the petitioner here?
3:23If you would please come forward and give your name and address good evening, Mayor Council Jimmy Duncan with Duncan Coker Associates PC 201 Townsender Boulevard, Tuscaloosa 35406.
3:35Here tonight representing McRights Failure Land Company LLC.
3:38Um to take Zach's comments just a step further.
3:41Uh you may remember when you saw this in uh late 24.
3:46There was a good bit of um angst, I guess you could say, in the area over the fact that there were gonna be two competing convenience stores essentially side by side.
3:55Um that's behind us now.
3:57It's come down to one store.
3:59Um the site configuration of which was different than we originally proposed.
4:03So essentially the lot boundary shifted in in doing so, the zoning shifted.
4:11Any questions for Mr.
4:14All right, thank you, Mr.
4:16This is a public hearing.
4:17Is there anyone here wishing to speak for or against the zoning amendment?

6:37I will have to ask Mr.
6:38Woodson that question.
6:39I do not know it, but I can ask Mr.
6:42Busby, the majority of those are gonna be for grass cuttings or property cleanup.
