0:35There's been a lot of trying to sell it by multiple people.
0:39There's been three or four different people called me up and said they were buying it, paid cash for it, but it's never withdrew.
0:45So I'm not going to do that.
0:52Well, they want they want to foreclose it before we condemn it.
0:56They're wanting because they're wanting to the bank is wanting to re restore it.
1:01Well, as you know, I've gotten more than three or four calls on that house.
1:05So no, that they don't need they want to they're wanting to foreclose on it, get it back and then make the repairs to the house and reset it.
1:15It could be a nice house.
1:16It could be a nice house.
1:19The owner is from somewhere in North Carolina.
1:21Um like I said, he's I was told today that there's possibility he may have to mention or something because he's tried to sell it for different people at the same time.
1:32I had a wholesaler try to sell it to me.
1:35Yeah, it's a bunch of work, but I mean it is salvageable.
1:40So I mean, like I said, the logger is supposed to be here.
1:455244 over Brook Road.
1:48Well, where did you hit the first circle and hit over Brook Road?
1:52How far after that first circle?
1:54About maybe halfway down on the left, it's up on the hill.
2:01So there's another one.
2:03It's the green model look great.
2:06So isn't there another house?
2:08I've gotten phone calls on the code.
2:09There's another one down the street that we've been dealing with as well.
2:17So I said the log is supposed to be here to represent for the bank.
2:24Bell, what do you want to do?
2:26I want to let the bank have it.
2:28If they'll fix it up.
2:30I mean, that that won't cost us anything.
2:32Just a just, I mean, I don't know.
2:35We'll have to have, I mean, I guess they'll have to tell you how long the foreclosure proceeds.
2:39Well, yeah, I mean, we need to give them I guess it would probably take 90 days, and I don't have a problem with that.
2:44Well, it's been there a long time.
2:46But they'll have a right in their mortgage to secure it and protect their investment, even before foreclosure.
2:55All right, so the second one we got is 17 record.
2:59Uh the gentleman is going to be here tonight.
3:02He has pulled a permit, but has done no work to this house.
3:09So I cleaned up some of the bushes.
3:15Uh you can see there's some structural failures, a lot of a lot of issues going on with this house.
3:20Uh on our radar for quite some time.
3:22We tried to get it into property maintenance and new courts.
3:25Never could get the person to serve there's nobody's living.
3:32Actually, the gentleman that's going to be here, I think does live in it.
3:38Um say it's condemned, no.
3:41Does it have power and water?
3:43It does have power and water, yes.
3:46Um until y'all deem it uh condemned, they can still live there because we've just posted it for condemnation.
3:57How long's it been going on?
4:00Uh well I'll posted them on April the 2nd.
4:04Uh, but this house has been on our radar for five to six years.
4:11And it's we cleaned up some of the other houses on that street.
4:14Yeah, and nothing's been done.
4:17Like I said, we we sent them paperwork, tried to get the owner served.
4:22I think if I'm not mistaken, the person that's here is the son of the legal owner.
4:28And the son is the son of who's living in there.
4:34I think it's the son.
4:34I'm that's what I'm saying, because it's uh Deborah, I think the last name is the owner's name of record.
4:50So I mean, like I said, he has pulled the term here but have done no work.
4:55He's supposed to be here tonight to lead his case.
5:00Uh I have no problem with giving him 90 days.
5:02If y'all see fit, I wouldn't go any further than that.
5:08I want to hear from them, but we've been dealing with it for five or six years.
5:13He hadn't done anything.
5:14I mean, and I don't know how much you can do with that, to be honest.
5:18He always has a right to appeal, but if it doesn't have any money, it can fix it.
5:29That's all I have to do.
5:43Have two rezoning requests.
5:45The first one is 7150 Commerce Drive.
5:50So this is our old warehouse that we sold.
5:53Um, so it's currently zoned IP institutional public.
5:56And so he's of course rezoning it outside of IP now that it's been sold.
6:01Um but he had an old way house location.
6:04Um you're probably familiar with currently IP.
6:09He wants to rezone it to IG.
6:12Um sorry, IH industrial heavy.
6:17And of course, framework identifies this area as industrial, so it does conform to the plan.
6:22He didn't intend, he didn't specify any intended use, uh, what he was planning to use the property for at the time, but um but he does need to redesign it outside of IP.
6:34So you can see that on featured in his character map, it's identified as industrial, and it was unanimously recognized for then our second rezoning request is down 69 south.
6:48So this is in this is a piece of property at 704 Page Parkway so on the corner of Patrick Parkway 69 um south, and uh it's not in city limits today, so they're annexing into the city limits, but of course we go through the pre-zoning process.
7:05So this is that location.
7:07Um so you can see on the corner of highway 69.
7:10This is very close to the new Walmart.
7:12Publix is just down south as well.
7:15Um, currently outside of city limits, surrounded by HC property.
7:20That's what they're requesting to rezone to for commercial development.
7:25Um, it does conform framework, intended uses as well as the intended um zoning request, uh conforms to framework as you can see on the few Jillian spoken map and ledging names the recommended for approval by Planning Commission.
7:41Do we know what's going there?
7:43So we don't know specific users at this time, but I believe there's a coffee shop, uh um oil changing type fast food restaurant as well.
7:53So chicken fingers, probably probably no Mexican restaurant.
8:03That's if the chicken fangs out of the park.
8:05Yeah, it'll be about four or five different lots within that development.
8:10So I don't have anything.
8:19We do not have any items for executive sessions.
8:29I am uh up towards the top of page two.

13:14And then finally, on page 38, you'll be setting August 25th.
13:19Uh, that's the date for public hearing on that uh zoning amendment that you are introducing tonight.
13:25Any questions for you?
13:30Like real quick, I'm still channeling my inner Busby here.
13:34On page 32, the uh the purchasing department request.
13:41Did we get an explanation of what that is?
13:44It's just kind of weird to approve it, but we don't even know what it is.
13:49I we went over this last week of that.
13:52It doesn't come to committee because it's budgeted and it comes to purchasing, but yeah, so um I'll probably I'm gonna do a quick introduction, and I think that Jason has the details on it, but as far as air airport security improvements, there was actually an item, same general scenario for um security upgrades at the airport that came through last week that were that was a smaller dollar amount.
14:16Um, but this is previously budgeted in the um airport development fund.
14:23Um then if you want to go over details about what the purchases these are for um access control upgrades at the airport.
14:32We've been moving through the last year and a half and hold all city facilities, and as part of that the airport were upgrading uh most of their gates as well as cameras and gates and some other things like that that's being funded out of there, and so uh, but we're doing the work in-house, which is why they're coming through as purchasing of items because we're doing the actual work versus your typical uh contractor project that would come before you'd just be helpful like in the future if we can just get like an explanation, which is for proving something just so we know what it is.
15:11So you know, generally, um so for example on the Tusclosa tennis center item that has been previously discussed by council, it is part of the tennis center overall project, and so that's an item off that's on for purchasing also because it is being paid for the tourism capital fund.
15:30Um but if what you I mean, we can either bring these to committee again to discuss them.
15:37Um I'm just saying if we're buying a car, can we put a car?
15:42If we're buying a table, can we put a table?
15:44I'm not saying we gotta get into it in committee.
15:46No, we can we're just approving some out of we can assess them and try to figure out the best way to internally.
15:53My thought is maybe just some sort of memo that we hand out.
15:59So the register once we'll we'll we'll we'll discuss it internally.
16:03We'll come up with something.
16:08All right, project 230 finance three public safety is 330, and then at five.
16:18Uh we have a fire employees pension board meeting Monday, August 10th.
16:24And any other items anybody have anything you'd like to move for?
16:30Is there a reception for some students?
16:32Yes, there's a reception at four o'clock for the Narashino delegation.
16:39Yep, in the whole HR lobby.
16:41In the LHR lobby, and then they'll they'll they'll be here for the council meeting at five.
16:51All right, is there a motion to adjourn?
16:56I have a motion second to adjourn.
16:57All favor saying aye.
